FFRK - The Eternal Calm (FFX) Event & Boss Strats

So, looking through my characters see'ing how best to tackle this since the only synergy gear I have for this fight really is Celebration Dagger.

So far I think I'm looking at:

65Gordon: Dark Buster R5/Armor Breakdown R3/Goddess's Bell/Mako Might

80Lenna: Curaga R5/Shellga R2/Flames of War/Princess's Favor/Dr. Mog

80Cloud: Tempo Flurry R5/Life Siphon R2/Fenrir Overdrive/Ace Striker

80Steiner: Draw Fire R5/Armor Strike R5/Sword Art Stock Break/Knight's Charge

and for the 5th I'm still decding on either:

65Lulu: Ruinga R3/Meteor R2/Devotion

or

65 Yuna: Maduin R3/Valefor R3/Blood of the Summoner


Pretty much the same setup I potentially used for Gigas and it worked out well.

I steamrolled through the 1st 3 with no synergy, suprisingly. I was expecting at least ++ and +++ to get rough.

This ones just out of my league right now. My synergy in 10 is crap and I don't have enough Blind ability hones to reliably prevent shit face for draw firing

Best I've done is 1 down and the other two around 39% or so. The amount of dumb luck needed in the beginning of the fight alone made me reset it more than any fight ever. Probably tried damn bear 50 times this morning and I got nowhere. I don't need these drops bad enough that I'm going to break my phone for it.

Think my biggest for is RNG. Even using Blind shell I've not landed blind 4 times in a row.

Also fun fact. Fat shit can still use draw fire when blinded, which removes his blind, adding another enjoyable layer of RNG frustration

1/1, no deaths/reset, had Laguna blindshot both Ormi and Logos, then went all out on Leblanc, boostga helped a ton to quickly down her, only danger was when Logos used his random barrage when wall wore and Yuna was at low health.

took a few s/l due to draw fire/blind rng, but wasn't too bad. not sure how useful wakka was for my setup. also, I should have ran lifesiphon on cloud, wewps

one try I had Leblanc dead and logos about half dead, then ormi used draw fire and I was out of blind charges, and that shit pretty much doesn't wear off so I had to abandon ship.

Fun fact, if you end up getting Blood of the Esper's to proc on a Blindga cast, your blm with target a different enemy with the 2nd casting of blind.

On the run that I won, Lulu Blinded Ormi, then cast Blind on the gun guy in the same cast, it was pretty awesome.

The fucking difference a natural Wall can make. Allowed me to use Mighty Guard (VIII) as roaming which really helped with HP recovery, not to mention speed of kill, and more flexibility in my set up ability wise... Plus it helps Tyro can equip Blindga and I dont consider it a waste.

I murdered this Ultimate. I do have really good synergy but I went AoE mad. I'm dumb and forgot the slow so I missed those medals. However, completely amazed I lost no medals for actions/damage, which I have NEVER done on an ult.

Had a pretty easy time with this one, mastering on my first attempt, though 2 AoE SSBs and good FFX synergy certainly helped.

One thing to note is that once Ormi uses draw fire, his AI will not allow him to counter again with it until he takes 5 turns, so slowing him will give you more time to damage the others after you've triggered the first draw fire and dispelled it with blind. I brought both blind shell and blindga to largely eliminate the factor of blind RNG. I only had to deal with 1 draw fire, having killed the other 2 before Ormi used 5 turns. Banishing strike was used to remove pro/shell from mighty guard, which makes them all pretty squishy due to their relatively low defensive stats for an ultimate fight.

Woo, Mastered Ultimate 1/1. Had to S/L a few times because of Blind RNG, and the end was kind of butt-clinching, since just before Logos died Blind wore off on him and he slept my healer, so I had to finish off Ormi with all my mitigation worn off and no healer, but I just kept him blinded anyway and kept Draw Fire up on Steiner, and thankfully no one died lol, won with only 2 medals lost, 1 on Actions and 1 on Damage Taken. XD Only Synergy I had was Celebration Dagger.

Well, beat ultimate but don't feel like going back to master. I would have mastered but terra died a turn too soon and so I started to lose steam at the end

I'd put a more reliable Blind in there Rata or you'll have a hard time hitting Leblanc and Logos with anyone but Sephiroth when Ormi uses Draw Fire. He also needs to die last.
