Don't get too worked up. It's just as likely that his credentials were in his wallet and the whole thing was taken as part of a robbery gone wrong.

That said, in the event that terrorists did manage to cause a nuclear meltdown (extraordinarily unlikely, borderline impossible), we'd see WW3.

I mean, there are just so many levels of security (both physical and technological) at a nuclear power plant that anything short of a well planned raid by a spec ops team (with inside help) would fail.

Come on man, the majority of terrorists that try shit in the US manage to self-fuck with spectacular ability. People like the underwear and shoe bombers don't have the intelligence required to pull off something like this. Even the 9/11 hijackers weren't relying on intelligence or skill, but ordinary people being afraid of getting cut. This is a whole other level of difficulty that very few people (let alone groups) have the ability to do successfully.

I think underestimating your opponent, an opponent that has been successful and will only get more successful, who does so with minimal training and weaponry, who is harbored by countries willing to lose their identity to them, is foolish.
