Edit: how bad of an idea is it to pull on this H2H rate-up banner? I'm right on the border of being able to handle some of the extremes. One more SSR or good SR character might make a difference.

This SF event just pisses me off. That and the progression of the game. I guess there's not much point in doing anything except get to rank 30? Spam for Magna weapons at that point or something? Even story quests don't really give weapon exp, so how exactly do you get stronger in this game besides a huge wait game on AP? Take a week off and camp Angel timers at 2 AM, or try to grind out Rank 40, where I'll get 20% stronger on some weapons?

This game throws a fuck ton of things at you that you can do, but none of it seems particularly useful to do.

As Sath noted, there are some ways you can progress. I would recommend blowing all your AP to do the story missions since we have 1/2 AP now. Early on, you should be able to do them without any refills at all. Once you're rank 30, 50, a lot of other stuff will open up. Not to mention you'll have enough to do one or two more 10-pulls during the SSR bonus rates at the end of the month.

But it's important to note that at the end of the day, this is a grindy game. That part won't change. You'll just be grinding on the next tier of stuff.

In terms of value, start-dash and surprise tickets are going to be much better value. But if you're just looking within the phases of the star pulls, IMO the one tomorrow (dagger / harp) is better than today's (H2H / katana). The Katana characters are quite good, but most of the H2H characters are only mediocre, so only half are good. But for tomorrow, at least 6 or 7 out of 10 are pretty good (some very good).

Maybe there are some tips/tricks to grinding tokens/points more effectively for this event that will save me the pulls?

The survival/arcade mode isn't worth doing unless you can do the highest tier and characters won't help you much there. You still need a pretty good pool. If you really want to easy mode most events then ticket Yoda.

Is it because it opens up better raids to join, for a chance at better loot? Is it because I'll get a bunch of weapons to level my SSR ones? At L24, it takes a full pool of normal weapons to gain a rank, and I can be lucky to get more then a couple, each run.

You need to do both Vega and Sagat for the items needed. I'm guessing both fights have the same chance to drop the weapon but don't count on it

Airship upgrades need to be updated from time to time.. interesting. I re-uped the existing perks.

On that note, we have a bit of money, so any interest in upgrading any of the upgrades (can do either another green potion, +25% charge at the start, 10% drop boost, 5% exp, or 5% rank).

Yes, the magnas can drop SR and SSR weapons, which come with passive skills. The actual summons can also drop.

The story missions mainly drop N weapons, which give 10-20 exp each. The magnas drop Archangel weapons, which give 1-1.5k each. You can also do the 3-per-day event for those, though. Just need to be there when they open each hour.

Casino is miserable. Played for 4 months barely being able to buy my monthly pots and seeds. Started using poker 2 weeks ago and being able to get MLB Anat, LB summon stones and all daily anima is great.

I've had that so many times; I'm done with poker. The 50k limit on two-card High/Low is too limiting anyway. If I'm ever completely out, I just do Poker until I'm at about 150k, then I go into 20-person Bingo tables. I did that last night when I went in with 150k and left about an hour later with a little over six million, just betting low/smartly at the start until I built up a bit more to do the bigger wages. Also helps to be slightly lucky.

Also, is the Arcade/Survival fights for the SF event the only way to get event points? I'm just trying to get to the 8000 points to buy the Earth SSR fist weapon, and having to spam the Normal because I can't handle the Hard survival makes it rather annoying when you only get about 200/run. I mean, if that's the only way, then I guess that's fine, it's far from being the worst grind I've ever had to do, just wanted to know if there are other, more efficient ways to get event points before I committed to it. I also wasn't expecting the hand-to-hand only requirement on both myself and my characters to do those quests, so that left me with a bit of poor team to use (not to mention I also didn't have a SR/SSR first weapon for the Brawler class I also didn't have unlocked).

Isn't bingo completely random? I dumped about 200k in it one time, and never got a single bingo. Poker gives you the best odds, but yea, the limits suck.

Latest angel tweet is from 14th. They haven't posted a new one in a couple days for some reason. Better to just favorite the boosted quest and see the timer whenever you want
