Gotta say i'm really starting to love the game, not enough to spend money though (barely have enough for 1 dollar pulls on FFRK way it is), but managed to hit Rank 30, Got Dark Fencer recently, broke main characters lvl cap almost to max (Ryu 2/4, Rackam 3/3, Rashid 2/4, Ryan 3/4, Katalina 2/3), and can comfortably do Hard SF fights (can barely get the VH to half) and have enough for a 10 pull when legfest comes around soon. Gonna see if I can get enough gold mats for SF to get Karin, but I think if I end up not having enough, i'll just throw it toward the character weapon ticket.

I wish I had been more greedy and rolled the 10-pull a few times, but I was worried about the legitimacy of getting the refund, so I only did three single tickets. Oh well.

Decent day yesterday, I had decided to roll 4(x10) times yesterday for the new SSR... didn't get the new one, but I did pull SSR - Arriet, SSR - Baal summon, and got the new SR Sen as well.

Of course the best thing was getting all of the crystals back to use for legfest now.

Randomly joined a raid to blow EP and got a SSR - Celeste Zaghnal Omega, too bad I basically have no plans for making a dark team.

I didn't roll anything as I didn't know they would do this.

Also, all of these games are going to be P2W, pretty much by definition. You can still enjoy them, but in the end, you need to spend some money or be incredibly lucky, to get a team that can see most content.

Pretty sure the spending more to get better abilities part is a joke. There's no info on her abilities yet and the cards won't be out until at least May. Guy in IRC is getting it and got notified his is delayed to June now.

The fuck is with the casino? I can make zero progress playing the two card bet because I never get higher then 2 in a row before I have to bow out because of 6-9, and wins are farther apart. I just had Flush, Four of a kind, and Straight all blow up on me on the second draw, and I could only lose by one card. I pull a three, bet high, and pull a two.

Seriously, I can't go higher then 1 chip bets because of this crap. Just how long do they expect you to do this thing?

Well I can now somewhat (depending on if I don't have a character die prematurely) comfortably do VH SF fights now, sad to see though that the high end mats still drop infrequently, so i'm more then likely only gonna have enough to use the points toward a melee character, only question I have is, should I pick the april 2016 ticket or the general ticket? Mainly a fire team.

Also I finally unlocked being able to join Omega fights, but because of my low level/rank, I only get the omega summon fragment and some special trinket from the boss, are they used for anything in particular or should I just not do them yet and only focus on using EP on Hard only?

Just want to make sure I'm reading this from the Ultimate and Weapon Optimization guides right: the only way to limit break weapons, specifically SSR weapons, is to have a dupe of them? Is that correct?

Yep, so not only do you have to actually get the drop, but then you need to get it three more times to open up the max level. So basically, it may not be as powerful right off the bat, if you've some event weapons, like Ifrit dagger, but it can be stronger, eventually. I haven't seen one yet, and I haven't picked up any summoning items since a week ago, so it looks like a pretty long grind.

@Robertfb - the fragments and such are used to trade up for items in the store. I don't know exactly what they are used for, but it's a hell of a long ways away.

Also, it seems like always doing Angel Halo + is a good thing because the Whorls that drop there are used to summon later event battles that are part of getting stronger weapons. You need 50 of them and 8 dragon scales to summon them once.....

fourth SSR drop this week, and that's arguably the most important one (which I didn't have yet) - the straight-up attack-boosting weapon. odd that it comes on a staff. I suppose the katana could be better with Last Stand but I'm not sure; Last Stand weapons are certainly more difficult/dangerous to work with in any case.


the more I play this game the more I begin to understand the complexity of the weapon grid. I'm beginning to think SR weapons can be better than SSR weapons in some cases; mainly SR weapons with a straight damage-boosting skill vs. SSR weapons with, for example, a skill that boosts counter damage. something to think about and lots of numbers to chew on. need to keep in mind that skills aren't everything and a fully-uncapped SSR will always have much better base stats than a fully-uncapped SR. still, might be worth keeping some SR weapons around for early/mid-game as they (in theory) drop much more frequently and are thus easier to uncap.


anywho, for now I'm just shoving SSR weps into my weapon grid because they have better stats overall but as I get more Colossus SR drops that might change. endgame you'd want SSR weps with damage-boosting skills as the majority of your weapons (probably some HP-boosting too? and I'm not sure how effective the counter weapons are) but I'm doing well enough for now that I'm not going to worry about it.

If you level up whatever SR weapons you have, and limit them to their max, they will be stronger then a capped SSR weapon, but it will take some exp to do so. I'm about to replace some of my initial SSR because I've got uncapped SR weapons ready; just need to exp them some more. You then replace them with uncapped SSR weapons, if you actually get to see any of them drop. Coming up on a week of farming, and zero, so far.

Before they only existed so you could get the materials to 4* their respective summons and you could only host it if you had one at level 100. A while ago they added the Grande raid which needs gold anima from each of them and let anyone host. Don't worry about it since Grande weapons are for people with completed pools

so wait... gacha weapons and summons are basically useless past a certain point unless you whale? is there any other way to grind for the damascus bar or any other material that uncaps SSR gacha weps/summons?

Gacha weapons are useless in pools unless you whale, yes. I only keep them if I need it for a main weapon. If I don't need them I just break it down for materials. Gacha summons aren't useless because you can buy SSR LB stones with guild war medals
