To go along with the grid, can you post which SR characters you have? I think the only time I use grande mixed setups are for the harder story fights against dark elemental cuz dark/light suck to build for.

Everything else I have mainly SR teams that even use just event characters or story characters and in my experience a team of all B-tier SR of strong element will always do more damage than a mixed grande team as long as my grid is set right (again discounting dark / light cuz of weapon and char availability). I think my only deviation from this recently is working ferry in to synergize with Catherine and only because the other options are story char or someone who only brings a 400% OD hit to the table.

As an example, Ryu and other SF5 dude for a wind group with your weapons and an Anat should shit all over a mixed party against an earth enemy. If you did test against earth and stuff can you just requote?

Re: mid-tier content

Are you farming for things like MLB ifrit harpoon / earth gun from the daily summons? That keeps me occupied when theyre around and they dont depend at all on luck. Same with event SSR weapons.

I haven't done the Event summon rotation (Ifrit & the like) ones because wind is only HP up on the SSR, and with MLB Tiamat summon, I don't really need the summon or SR weapons. I haven't done other elements because I read up that you should focus on one element first, since it takes so long to get a good weapon pool going.

As for damage differences:

Characters:
L70 Petra and Arietta; L60 Sakura.
Summon - 2x MLB Anat
Damage: 10K auto attacks on all members

Characters:
L70 Jeanne, Petra, and Narmaya
Summon - MLB anat + Grande
Damage: 30K wind auto attacks, and 10K auto attacks from off-spec

The utility and damage from Jeanne & Narmaya currently out-perform a full wind team by a significant margin, so until that weapon pool overcomes the difference, it doesn't make sense to use it. The difference is even greater with an MLB Grande 'friend', when they show up on the list.

If you haven't already, be sure to clear the casino cage of skill up fodder. It resets every month (which means a new set is in if you cleared it previously) and it's an easy way to boost your existing weapon pool without RNG.

I'm just kind of fumbling my way through story mode after I figured out how to feed books to Yuri (and a few to Lloyd when he really slowed down) and not sure I can even do anything in the daily dungeons (if that's indeed what that one menu even is). No idea what the blue books do nor the fruit things in the mission rewards.

Edit: Picked up Lady Grey, Melleau, and Sarunan tonight.

If you use the summon gacha, and use all your gems, you should get a few more 4* characters to add to the PT. If so, you can evenly level them and just keep going in the story, using the 1/2 AP event (if its still on) until you hit L30. Even by then, things were pretty easy, though I could finally see the combo system coming into play. Auto-battle did a much better job of forcing them though. If you do hit a stopping point, just grind whatever final stage in the last chapter you beat as those seem to have the best exp ratio.

I guess to each their own but your all wind team looks the same as mine for the most part and I just soloed Ygg omega down to 80% with almost no difficulty with it before calling for backup. I dont think I wouldve been able to do that without the decreased damage taken from wind vs earth. Having Petra and Arietta in the same party being low on damage is less about the weapon pool and more about having 2/3 characters being pure support/debuff and you're comparing it to 1 support and 2 high end DD. The better comparison would probably be Petra and the 2 SF wind characters. They do much more damage than a support wind SSR will do. Rashid is REALLY good.

Your fire/water/earth SRs are more than good enough for their own team as well, and again, I'd be really surprised if they didnt outperform youe mixed team on events and stuff. Raw damage is a good measure but it's not all there is to it. When units are getting shitfucked by ougis because they arent resisting, they can't do any more damage.

Personally I think the focusing on one element to the exclusion of others is a bad idea because in your case you have focused on wind and I think 1 out of the past 6 events has been advantageous for wind? If you only want to farm one omega that's fine, but you shouldn't neglect free 4-starrable SSR ATK+ weapons just because they aren't wind. Remember that if you're not using a full wind team a full grid of wind weapons makes very little sense, especially if your MC is playing Dark Fencer.

I have all speed options as fast as I can set them, so far as I can tell, but that video is about twice my speed.

Here's the event schedule:

"Repaint the Memory" 31st of May till 8th of June
Tales of Event 6th of June till 16th of June

Celestial Event 23rd of June till 30th of June
Scenario Event 30th of June till 8th of July

I'm also hearing you need to be level 40 now, in the Tales event, but I haven't seen any translations or posts about it yet.

I just did Tiamat Hard, for the first time after the re-balance, and the fight is actually harder then what it was before, due to the Mode Gauge changes. It was still easy to complete, but the fuck was that all about? They went and made their first tier of risk/reward fights harder for new people to do?

At least pendents are actually obtainable now, and I think it's time I made a team of R & SR characters to rack up the bonus points as well.

If I only have Percival, should I ticket Yuel or Clarisse first? Probably won't be tackling anything really hard anytime soon, since I'm still building the weapon grid. Leaning towards Yuel, just so I can start exping her until the next ticket rolls around. Leveling to 100 takes forever. -_-

I'd ticket Clarisse first still. Her passive is great for helping fear land and she has her own defense down debuff so you can cap it easily with mist. Also one of the only fire harps so you could mess with superstar before ele changing a GW harp.

You'll get one for hosting your first Bahamut raid, at level 80, and the rest you need as a drop.
