Sounds interesting. Everyone goes in with pure stat sticks and character levels. The great equalizer, lol.

Just a heads up, especially for early-mid level players, there are 40 AP pots and 200,000 rupies for sale rather cheap in the event exchange shop. The full set of 20/100k refreshes at a slightly higher cost once it's bought out. In particular, the AP pots are basically free pendants if you reinvest them since they only cost 200/300 apiece and you can earn ~1350 pendants for 50 AP worth of hosted extremes.

Also, Re: Guild Wars characters, apparently they've updated the shop so that you can now buy 3 Gold Bricks before you have to transition to killing HLs and praying to RNGesus.

I think berries are better to use, sniping Extreme +, then burning the AP pots, but that's only if you have a good supply. Farming GW and the mats for a character are going to suck up a lot of AP pots, so that's mostly what I'm saving them for.

It's just not worth the time/frustration for me to deal with spamming tweetdeck raids for EP when I can solo the Extremes in a couple minutes for 540-750 pendants, lol. I still use tweetdeck for daily completions since I don't want to spend 400 AP a day on that when I can just spam Seiryu with my fire team during his phase.

Sniping normal extremes is shit, yes.

Sniping Extreme + is fairly easy, but having an alt account, mostly filed with EP, helps so you can see where any given raid is and refresh it until its at one, then join on your main. They can't die fast, so it's fairly easy to get the easy points that way. Seems around the 10 minute mark is where most are at 3 EP or 1 EP. What's most frustrating is that you'll have a bunch of battle ended, and a bunch of 5 EP battles, all together; makes no sense, but is what it is.

People tend to flood in as soon as EX+s hit the 1/3 BP mark in the ones I've done. Like they fill from 2/60 to 30/60 in the span of a minute and die. And since no one joins the 5 BP fights they sit there for the hour it takes to grind down solo. Honestly I tend to kick it into high gear around that point and get kill ASAP because I'm bitter about spending an average of 20-30 minutes whacking a wall with 1-2 other people just for 30 others to rush in and grab credit at the end, lul.

Like, I get that not everyone can handle EX+ level bosses (they're not as strong as Magnas but they do require some measure of DPS to grind down), but holy shit is it intense this event. It's probably due to the 4-6 way player split invoked by the different elements and rotations, but it's still frustrating.

Tangentially related, is the Fire Katana worth 4*'ing if I already have 2 S10 MLB Unknowns? I have the harp done and I'm at the point where I can either buy a second seal for 20k or spend the pendants on gold nuggets instead.

Katana is good as a filler weapon and would probably take a while to replace since fire magna weapons are god awful. It's also not unknown but normal attack 2(once it's 4*).

Yeah, I was just thinking in terms of 2 Unknown 1 N2 1-2 Bahamut 5-6 Magna vs 2 Unknown 1-2 Bahamut 6-7 Magna. Does the Katana also go to S15 when 4*'d? 20% Attack on one weapon isn't bad.

Actually, in that case, keeping everything else constant I should be better off with an S15 N2 weapon any time my total Magna skill bonus is above 50% since N/N2 are on a separate term. Nice.

Yeah it goes to SK15. N1/N2 are the same multiplier in calculator

Testing a basic fire pool shows the 4* katana as a 15k~ upgrade still.

2 SSR baha, 2 unknowns, GW harp, all LB0 sticks. Colo+80% athena summons

I have the points to unlock one more job: Bishop, Hermit, Ogre, or Valkyrie. Any recommendations since this'll be the last one I'll be able to unlock for a while? Was leaning towards Hermit for the skill damage boost.

None of them have particularly noteworthy EX skills that I can think of (I rarely use anything besides Arrow Rain 3 from Sidewinder or Miserable Mist). Valkyrie and Bishop were a bit underwhelming in practice for me. If your goal is the Mastery bonus for use on another job, I'd probably go for Hermit (skill damage) or Ogre (Max HP). Valkyrie's mastery bonus is also Max HP but it's a bigger pain to level than Ogre.

Bishop for heals and cleanse. Hermit for damage and poison, which helps in some Co-Op stages and story mode boss fights.

Bishop doesn't get Cleanse naturally, which means giving up Mist EX. That could work fine if you know someone else is tossing it onto the boss in a raid. In general that's where Bishop shines anyway since its heal is raid-wide.

Thanks for the advice. I'm working on them for the Mastery Bonuses and don't expect to have access to the Tier IV/Extra classes for quite a while. I got my 4th Belle Sylphid the other day, pretty happy to be done with that one for now.

    Awesome, congrats!

Just so you're aware, because I honestly didn't realize this myself until I looked more closely at it recently, Extra jobs aren't actually very difficult to unlock. Tier IV jobs require a ton of work and Rank 101+, but Extra jobs only require farming co-op up to EX stages and getting item drops there.

Considering co-op rooms instantly fill with Rank 100+ superbros who are willing to carry anyone as long as you pay the AP cost there's really not much of a roadblock there besides the absurd CP cost and the RNG involved in getting the drops.

If you did want to pursue an Extra job, Alchemist/Samurai/Ninja are by far the easiest/cheapest to unlock. All it takes is time/AP.

Regarding the SR summons, it's much easier to farm up one copy, then use the moonlight stones to limit break them. You get five a month, and they cost 1 million chips each. You can also MLB the Rusted weapons with the Steel Bricks in there too.

Started a Titan at JP primetime thinking I'd get SOME help. Not going well

If anyone is available the ID is 60E2C1D4. He already took out my MC so I'm pretty much stalled where I am (85%~).

Edit: Nevermind, I don't have long to play today I'm just gonna forfeit the 30 AP. I might be done summoning EX+ until I can get to a point where I can solo to 50% in less than an hour. I might try Neptune since my Earth team is strong but the rest can fuck off, lol.

    Edit 2: Grid question.

    This is my Earth grid
    Spoiler: show

But I also have a lv40 Poison Hand (EX ATK) from SF event
    Spoiler: show

That I haven't skilled up because I wasnt sure whether I was keeping it or not. Is there a point to keeping it and skilling it and replacing celestial dagger (fire, honor+, stat stick) or should I just use it as fodder for Baha spear?

Definitely replace the dagger with the SF fist. The SF fist is an unknown skill which you have none of and only come from collab events. The dagger point bonus only works on scenarios or individual GW points. It has no effect on the points used to qualify in GW

Awesome, thanks. And one more question: should I MLB Byakko fist to 4 star or get a Katana or Spear or something first?

4* fist and then katana I'd say. Katana is useful in fire pools for a long time while I'd only get the wind spear to use as wind holy saber which they don't get pushed into that often.
