I told my wife she looked like she had that stupid fucking buccal fat removal surgery that looks awful on pretty much everyone.

good stuff, ep 3 my favorite. oft said but Antony Starr deserves an Emmy he is so fuckin good
I don't recognize Anthony Starr with that beard.
Finished episode 3 and I have a question about the very last Sage scene:Spoiler: show
Spoiler: show
Yeah, that being what it was makes sense.Spoiler: show

Ohh, that makes much more sense. My brain kinda went the way of "maybe she fried the octopus, but then I'm pretty sure Deep would realize what he's eating"
man ep 4 is a horror show good gravy
hopefully frenchie's relationship subplot is over, felt like spinning his wheels at this point. kimiko too to an extent but it's fun watching her be invulnerable in new ways. definitely interested to see what sister sage's actual end game is
This episode was a masterclass from Starr, just absolutely terrifying
Geez now that's a good episode

Best thing to come outta this season is the real life satire going down. Apparently right wingers finally figured out that Homelander isn't the hero and the show has made fun of them the whole time, so now it's being review bombed. Saw some articles with Kripke being dumbfounded on how you address it taking 4 seasons for some people to realize that they're the joke.
Is it though? I'm pretty sure people were making the same jokes last season and I never actually saw any supposed bamboozled right wingers complaining outside of rotten tomatoes user scores, which could easily be fake railroaded to drive a narrative you want to create.
I feel like this season has been more on the nose with its real world comparisons. But is that the shows fault, or have the guilty conscious conservatives become a caricature of themselves hehe

season 1 had the lying murderous psychopath villain literally wearing an American flag giving verbatim Dubya War on Terror quotes, a lot of modern 'conservative' cultural warriors are just absolutely fuckin braindead when it comes to artistic analysis. logical endpoint of viewing all art and media through an infantile is it woke or not lens
nah brother if anything that would be a manufactured narrative. the show is getting actively review bombed for the first time in its run for being too woke and Twitter is full of conservative accounts claiming it's fallen off / trying to argue the old seasons made fun of both sides equally (because they are again too stupid to understand the past critiques were of pandering corporate activism and not actual leftist values).
Firecracker is definitely the most direct they've been about making fun of crazy right wingers, but I swear that literally this exact conversation of "OMG they didn't realize they were being made fun of" has been happening basically every season.
"twitter is 90% someone imagining a guy, tricking themselves into believing that guy exists and then getting mad about it" ad nauseum, though I guess in this case it's laughing about the person that doesn't exist instead of being angry
Edit : or maybe it is real idk, I don't frequent those parts of the internet nor do I seek them out. It's like how I only know about Andrew Tate from everyone complaining about how awful he is, I've never seen a single piece of content from him
