They tied up storylines just fine, I don't feel the need for any of his interviews.

I did read about how the comic ended and jfc they did it so much better in the show.

What storyline did that interview tie up? All of the scenes discussed were in the finale.

Keeping the Deep around just because he was one of the last of the original 7 was garbage writing. He could've died last season or long ago. The new Noir death was shitty writing. The whole SB/MM storyline that was never tied up even though MM would lose his mind anytime SB was around and then.... not a word about him in the finale. Sage being the smartest human ever but not thinking of perfecting the virus from the corpses to kill Homelander or have an ace in the hole. She was so smart but the writers weren't clever enough to write for her intellect and it was a waste of a supe. Starlight was useless and has been useless the past two seasons. Hughie should have horrific cancer between the compound V and regularly being irritated. The Butcher/Homelander fight was a let down. Butcher has kidnapped and tortured people for less. And all Homelander gets is a crowbar to the head. That was anticlimactic as fuck. Also the number of people (adults and teens) Hughie has killed via his direct and indirect actions was just glossed over and he gets a happy ending with Mrs. Nasally herself.
The whole army of psychics plot point was wasted and under utilized, they could've hunted down bombsight once it was known he had the V1. Also Sage not thinking of checking to see if that old woman had a Vought pendant was a plot hole. It was so bad all around

This season and finale were incredible let downs.

Even his death was lame. Like she could've knocked him in the water and had him freak out and run back on the beach and then the fish and marine life taunting him from the sidelines. Him hearing their calls being distracted during the fight lets her blow him back in the water and then he gets ripped apart. It was so anticlimactic and boring
