Literally The Deep being around the whole time despite being the bootlicking pathetic shill who sold everything to just get approval and even when he is completely rejected by HL, still shills for him is the whole point of his character arc. There was no better ending for The Deep. There are flaws, but the Deep was done like, as perfect as it could get. Wtf is some fish taunting him and calling him names from the ocean going to do? He already knows the ocean hates him.

Would have him terrified of even touching the water while fighting starlight and trying to avoid while the swarm of aquatic life continued to grow. If you wanted more tension and humor for the scene. It was known Deep would debase himself completely for homelander cause that’s what he did for 5 seasons. Nothing changed or was new. He continued to choose Homelander. He killed his octopus because of Homelander. He hit the bottom long ago in the show. There wasn’t any lower Homelander could’ve treated him. The show lost direction after season 3 and turned into them fumbling to this finale.

They’ve been beating the Deep dead horse now. It’s the family guy giant chicken shtick but less funny

Everybody gives Starr his flowers and rightfully so, but man a lot of the other cast members nailed their role too. Chace Crawford genuinely made you hate the sniveling coward that was The Deep. Definitely one of the better written characters throughout the series too.

Deep in the comics was completely useless and maybe had like 2 or 3 total lines. Making him an actual interesting character was definitely some of the better work they did over the course of the show.

Licensed/AAA VR Games are very hit or miss... bout the only good ones are ports (with mods, ala Skyrim/FO4) or Half Life Alyx because Valve actually tried. Think the Metro one was pretty well received even if a bit short.

But I'll be keeping an eye on this.
