Synthetic drama is the worst kind of drama. Pretty obvious that it's all being fabricated for DEM VIEWS by now, and people still buying in to it.

this x1000. people bitch about allowing that content on the reddit because he shouldn't be allowed to whore himself for attention over his shitty manufactured drama like that. No one likes an attention whore, least of all one who wears the disgust of his peers like some kind of twisted badge of glory.

The real question should be how to make legit XIV drama when the game is so fully centered around everyone having an equal experience and no one being able to screw each other over. Once someone figures that out we may perhaps have something to actually laugh at.

I breifly glossed over the AMA and it's kind of impressive how upfront Anerio is in it about how it's all to get views.

I think he goes way too far and a fine line should be drawn between "being a character" and "telling someone you want them to get aids and die." But I don't even think this counts as drama if they're doing it on purpose to sell their show. Guess that's why nobody can take it seriously - it's just all dumb marketing for their podcast, which has begun to reach its logical extremes. Dunno how well that'll work out for them long run but if their audience keeps lapping this shit up they'll just get louder and louder and soak in more and more views (and more patreon donation$) until it stops working, and it'll keep making multi-page blue gartr threads because there's nothing else much to talk about.

Then again like 50%+ of this thread has nothing to do with LBR so man not even this 'drama' is any good at holding a discussion.

It's all about the clicks. Last year Rooster Teeth created drama over Giant Bomb's review of Fallout 4 for not giving it a 9+. At the time, Bethesda was sponsoring Rooster's content.
