When I went in 2006 my friend and I went up to Camdentown for a day. The market was nice and the food was good and cheap. Can sit on the canal and eat or wander the stores and stalls.

May not be what you're interested in but a lot of the museums are free/donation only. Good ones to check out are the Natural History museum, Science museum, British museum and the V&A.

If you need a pharmacy/drugstore whilst here look for a Boots store. Supermarkets are Tesco, Sainsbury, Waitrose, Morrissons & Co Op.

A lot of places are not that far to walk so if the Tube is packed and bugging you you can often walk.

Pubs and bars in the centre are going to be crazy expensive.

What's crazy expensive? I'm from Chicago so I'm used to roughly 7-10 dollars for a beer 10+ dollars for a drink and 15+ if you want it to actually have liquor in it. USD that is ofc
