There are definitley striking similarities to Ledger here. Some of the lip smacking, and low tone drawl, and cadence. Making The Joker look like an actual chemical burn victim is different.

Holy character development Batman! They gave Batman some character development in a piece of media.
I’ve seen people- including on here complain his Bruce Wayne sucks, but I certainly agree with the view that that’s because his Bruce Wayne does indeed, intentionally suck. As is common knowledge, Batman IS Batman and Bruce is his disguise. He hasn’t gotten around to developing that disguise yet.
I will say, I feel they coulda shortened the runtime by cutting out the Penguin. The character and acting was fine, just seemed to be there solely for sequel setup.
Needed Penguin for the baller Batmobile scene. I guess it could've been some other thug but he was cracking me up with his dialogue while driving
Penguin started fucking waddling after they caught him. It was hilarious how he was half hard core mobster and half absolute fucking cartoon lol. In a good way.
It was like watching a RL version of the Animated Series from the 90s and I mean that in all the best ways.

I felt like I was watching an emo rorschach vs a pg13 jigsaw personally
Oh and thats kickass! I became really excited for the movie because it was describe like its TAS…. In that the villains are already out there doing shit. We didn’t need to sit thru several origin stories for 1 main character and 1 villain.
i think i have a slight critique in that….I felt they should have held back on Joker and hinted at Harvey Dent instead? They were dealing with attorneys all over the place in the movie so I felt like that might be more natural.
I couldn't find a Penguin thread so
What in the fuck
I'm gonna watch it
But seriously.
What in the fuck?

The Batman Part II is flying off to a new date. The film will now open Oct. 2, 2026. That’s back a full year from its previous date.
Moving to accommodate shifts or gaps in Gunn's DCU, or just overall schedule changes for WB?
