More than anything, this makes me want to rewatch First Avenger again. All I recall in that one was that since Cap thawed out he hasn't picked up a gun.

Can someone refresh my memory. Did the camera footage scene have like the typical camera footnote from the 90's on the lower left and/or right? If so, did it have it for every single angle? I took the scene the exact same way Eurell mentioned. More angles for the viewer for the sake of emphasizing the scene, not necessarily more cameras. Shit, if I recall correctly there was even one angle inside the car itself when Bucky kills Tony's mom.

Yeah that's how I have to take it too if the camera was indeed placed there by Hydra as proof for interested parties. One angle in truth but the viewer sees many. I suppose I can accept that explanation.

oh and I forgot to mention how much I loved the scene where Cap keeps the helicopter from flying off. Hot damn.

I love how the Civil War minuses amount to some minor nitpicky shit that few other blockbusters would be taken to task for like camera angles. That scene where the Starks die was pretty intense though, despite Tony's dad being a dick.

Even Bucky seemed impressed. It was definitely a 'take that' to Henry Cavil's Super-abs.

There were several camera angles. You're just lying to yourself if you don't believe that, go watch it again. I'll take the "it was a setup" theory that was mentioned earlier but that's a stretch.

I just downloaded the movie and looked through all 3 times the scene was shown. Theres only 1 camera footage. It is angled from the left side of the crashed car. Every single time it is from the same angle.

Apparently you can't tell the difference between grainy CCTV footage and regular camerawork made to look older for the audience.

I won't deny at all that anything I disliked with the movie was nitpicky. My feeling was that I guess it was so hyped up, especially here and after release for being this perfect amazing best marvel movie perfect superhero movie etc and then it wasn't. It was slow, long, drawn out, boring at parts. Too many movies in one. Wishy washy reasoning for taking specific side's and then fighting over it to a point that people get paralyzed. Scarlet just free casting in the back and wrecking shit with no one fighting her, Clint only being there so scarjo had someone to fight lol. It was a great movie, I wish I could have seen it in IMAX 2d instead of 3d cause that's probably my biggest gripe, but the praise it got for me was too much. Guardians, winter soldier, avengers. This movie felt more forced than those.

Nah, we don't do that here. And the way this movie was hyped, it wasn't a normal movie so don't try to bring it down that level. It was ridiculous, unneeded extra motivation that felt thrown in because they really did have nothing with the treaty and it was already overboard for that even.

I disagree with your overall assessment. However, enjoyment of art is a subjective experience.

Its a top 5 MCU movie for me for sure but I would have trouble placing it. I think everyone has good reason to love it as much as they did, it was great, but maybe if I went in completely blind without expectation I wouldn't feel the need to nitpick at certain things. The two threads didn't help afterwards either. Some have mentioned things that I didn't notice at first which hasn't helped. Like, what if Tony didn't show up at the end, does the plan fail? Guess he just saves the movie for another day.

Still hate 3d though.
