I don't think he did either. I distinctly remember him saying something to the effect of "You killed my mother!" to Bucky.

Right before the real 2v1 starts at the bottom of the shaft, Cap says it wasn't Bucky's fault because he was controlled, to which Tony replies "I don't care. He killed my mom." Later though, he does mention his dad when he's telling Cap to drop the shield. "My dad made that shield!"

I feel for Tony, but there's really no attachment to the character of Howard Stark. Having three different actors portray him is a big factor in that I think. Cooper felt the most natural because you see a lot of Tony in him, plus with Agent Carter, we got a lot more screen time with him.

Old Howard was played by someone else in Iron Man 1. Then its the same guy in IM2, Antman and Civil War.

They had Gerald Sanders as him for pictures and such in Iron Man 1, don't recall if there were any speaking parts. Beyond that, yeah, Cooper for young Howard in Cap 1 and Carter, as well as used for any young pics, Slattery for any older Howard appearances. Can chock it up to phase 1 poor planning like Banner I suppose. Slattery always feels too serious for Howard though.

I won't deny at all that anything I disliked with the movie was nitpicky. My feeling was that I guess it was so hyped up, especially here and after release for being this perfect amazing best marvel movie perfect superhero movie etc and then it wasn't. It was slow, long, drawn out, boring at parts. Too many movies in one. Wishy washy reasoning for taking specific side's and then fighting over it to a point that people get paralyzed. Scarlet just free casting in the back and wrecking shit with no one fighting her, Clint only being there so scarjo had someone to fight lol. It was a great movie, I wish I could have seen it in IMAX 2d instead of 3d cause that's probably my biggest gripe, but the praise it got for me was too much. Guardians, winter soldier, avengers. This movie felt more forced than those.

Hawkeye joined because he had a debt to scarlet witch because quicksilver saved him. He even said "I had a debt" and nodded to scarlet witch when asked why he was there.

The lack of attachment to Howard Stark is more about Tony's perception of him being a shitty father who was portrayed as a cold, calculating, callous and heartless.

Unless you are talking about the viewer's attachment to Howard Stark, which is of course closer to what you are mentioning. Unless you are a die-hard Marvel movie goer, the significance of Howard Stark's death would be lost on the viewer if they've forgotten about (or never watched) Iron Man 1 & 2.

But that was shown to a crowd, Tony may have included saying "love you" to his father because not doing so would make him look bad to the crowd.

This is my sentiments exactly.

Even though Tony came to terms with his dad by the end of Iron Man 2, he still had a sense of detachment from him -- as he was still a dad who seemingly kept him at arms length through boarding school & college while he was off doing secretive shit with SHIELD as well as attempting to synthesize the new Tesseract-element he theorized.

However his mother was purely innocent of everything going on and didn't deserve to die.

I know this has been talked about and resolved, but I just wanted to add actual picture of the footage in question.

There was only 1 CCTV camera on the tape. The reason it may look like it were multiple cameras, was due to the fact they zoomed in when Stark or Zemo were watching the footage. The angle of the car crash never changes on the actual CCTV.
