Not going to say this was easy, but mastered 1/2. Forgot to bring Poison and only had 2 spellblades, but it worked fine. 0 deaths. Kind of OP SBs available but I have 0 synergy so... it's possible.

Not optimal build, was just trying it out before realizing my Thundaja was only 4/5 and I should've gone Tyro for the 5/5 Thundara Strike and take the Magic Breakdown... but luck helped out after some attempts not counting instant Tsunami turn 1 build up. Mighty Guard RW.

This U+ is really pissing me off. Either gets a 9999 nuke off at the start or immediately surges and just triple nukes, anyway.
Annoying fight but finally did it with one medal lose. Used princess favor (lenna) RW. I did carbuncle + poison method which negates the absorb hp he gets. Would recommend having at least one of ur thunder users idle until he prepares tsunami

Eventually wound up getting it down, but still an annoying fuckface.
Balthier: Thundaga Strike R4, Poison Shell R3, Self-Sacrifice
Lightning: Blizzaja Strike R4, Thundaja Strike R4, Dragoon's Determination
Tyro: Dispel R4, Magic Breakdown R4, Mako Might
Palom: Curaja R4, Shellga R3, Mog's Teachings
Rydia: Blizzaja R4, Thundaja R4, Blood of Espers
RW: Might Guard VIII
Win was scary because he had very little time out of tsunami charging, so I literally ran out of lightning attacks outside of Lightning's SSB at the end. Wound up defending and eating a couple tsunamis. Palom's SSB was clutch for the heals and to counter the occasional slowga. The sleepga he did land only got one person, too. Come his last sliver, we were basically dancing with him getting into his shell, curing himself, and hoping poison would finish him off. Just glad to be done with this numbnut.
I did it finally! Used Prothcaster Runic and my own runic to keep it up full time

Got Ult+ to 1% before he hit my whole party with a unmitigated 6k waterga, then realized that poison and reflect would help in this fight lol, gonna try it again later today with that setup.
Full synergy party, no unique sb clear of U+:

Hmmm so for U+ would it be worth bringing my ExDeath runic for BLM?
Also, regrouped for Gary and brought in Eiko for A haste medica which made him a joke.
Absolutely. Runic made a huge difference.
Would highly recommend runic or carbuncle. Otherwise you will eat a ton of dmg from his triple nuking.
if you're doing the reflect strat, just make sure you're bringing poison + magic breakdown, fullbreak and preferably some other form of magic mitigation. with just breakdown, he was self-healing for ~9-12k per round whenever he did the triple cast (and of course he did it constantly whenever i had reflect up), i couldn't outpace it or cram enough mitigation to make the strat worthwhile so i had to take a different approach.
How is reflect useful? Quick run I did he kept healing himself with reflected waters.
Probably to prevent stop.
I tried a few runs with reflect, hated them. Runic certainly feels like the way to go.
I'm making slow progress, but the fight still seems to hinge on how nasty he is right at the beginning (If he hastes or uses spells before Runic gets up) and right around 50% when you're reapplying everything.
Hmm, I'm considering this set up.
Ramza - Swift Bolt/Lifesiphon - Mako (Shout)
Celes - Blizzara Strike/Thundara Strike - Unbreakable Spellblade
Cloud - Thundara Strike/Lifesiphon - Ace Striker (Blade Beam)
Irvine - Full Break/MBD - Battleforged (Canister Shot)
Yuna - R2 Carbuncle/Venom Strike - no idea for RM, was gonna bring her with a dagger.
RW Hand of the Emperor or Exdeath's/Celes Runic
Any suggestions?
Here is some suggestion if i may
Ramza is fine
Celes is fine (Using Runic or SSB SB?)
Cloud is risky imo, you probably won'T be able to SB unless you get lucky so i'd maybe go something like armor break to help DPS a bit
Id replace Irvine with someone like Rosa or Y'shtola if well leveled (with Cruaja + Magic Breakdown)
Yuna i'd remove Carbuncle and give her a well honed Ixion of Ramuh
I feel like having 4 thunder spell safer, because one of your 'thunder user' can do something else, while with 3 Thunder user you might be stuck waiting for possible Tsunami
No native runic. I was gonna yolo it down without a healer and only Hymn of the Fayth regen. I guess I could go with Y'sholta wall with MBD + Venom Strike with a dagger and go Yuna as white mage. I have a better feeling doing the reflect strat more so than the runic strat.
You need good dps for reflect
Those 3x watera can heal him good
But didn't know you had aoe heal on yuna
That can help but I still suggest 4x Thunder
So Blood of the Espers didn't proc the entire fight. Started pretty smoothly, was able to get Runic RW up almost immediately. Also was able to get Magic BD, Shell, and Poison up all right away. I used banishing strike on Agrias because I felt a haste coming, and sure enough was correct. Was ready and waiting for the first shield to go up right as Shout went off and everything was clicking really well.
A trick I did was I didnt use SSII until around 75%, got lucky with Runic absorbing everything he threw at me and had 2 barriers back to back that I was able to dish damage out on and store up some SB bar for Yshtola. Things began to unravel around 20%, despite me being able to fit in a Cleansing Strike. He went wall, AoE Waterga, AoE Waterga (thankfully SSII was still up). Then haste happened. Then wall happened. Runic went down, Agrias had *just* used a 2nd Cleansing Strike, all hope was lost.
MOTHER FUCKING BLOOD OF THE ESPERS PROCCED! 2x Thundaja hits and Ramza was ready with Swift Bolt but didn't need it. Praise the sun!
