I'm a big fan of MSI thus far. Good all-around quality. Haven't had to deal with support yet, thankfully.

Had the MSI 1070 Armor first. It failed on me. Spoke with their customer service whom told me everything else but the card was the issue. Returned it to Microcenter and they confirmed for me the card was a dud. Switched to EVGA's 1070 ftw, no issues since.

That mirrors a support incident I had with MSI, actually. I had one of their top-tier at the time motherboards, I know I spent in excess of $300 for it. A few months after I bought it, there was a BIOS flash made available for it that fixed an issue with the exact CPU I had installed in it, so I did the flash and it bricked the board. I am no novice; I did it right. So I used another box and searched the internet only to find that it was a pretty common issue. Long story made short, MSI blamed me for the failed flash, even when presented the evidence that I was far from the only one.

Newegg rescued me by allowing me to RMA the board to them well after I should have been allowed to, though they did charge me a % restocking fee and I had to pay for shipping. All in all, it cost me about $60 to resolve an issue that MSI support should have fixed on the house.

I probably sound like a bitter ex when I tell this story but fuck it, I don't forget when I get shafted.

had a very similar experience on a GPU and then later a motherboard. MSI's customer service is notoriously awful and there's lots of documentation to support that on the interwebs. THeir products are usually good but if something goes wrong then RIP

a lot of the times the people on the phone sound annoyed/angry to even do their job

Not at all. Bad reviews are more memorable than the good. It's why I do my damnest not to fuck with Dell or Bestbuy.

Hmm well good to know. Thankful what i've bought from them hasn't gone belly-up. It's funny, I've had the most bricked graphics cards over the years with EVGA. Support was fine, but i must have terrible luck getting lemons.
