I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

Finally downed him. Mastery 3 medals lost with the same party above. Having Cid alive after the 2nd megaflare helped.

Wind Slash dealing amazing damage apparently, try it if you're having troubles with honing other abilities. It's also a celerity skill so the casting time is shorter.

tried again using a slightly adjusted setup after burning a bunch of eggs on agrias so i could have another spellblade with decent offensive stats

    Spoiler: show

just barely finished with mastery, -1 actions -2 damage.

kinda wish i'd known that wind slash existed and was viable though, i could've slotted in locke in place of steiner for a much better SB.

Ouch... couldn't master... will need to rethink how to take on Bahamut. =/ I even charged up all SB to 3. At least I learned that Agrias, although good, is kind of shitty when you put Saint's Cross and Banishing Strike on her and Bahamut resists holy.

My first try I went in with just one aeora strike and couldn't master so I made two more for my mastery run.

If you have a lot of mitigation think about using squall BSB as a RW

Man that was a bit of a challenge. My setup:

    https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...8b3d5d7ff5.jpg

    RW: Shout

Basically had whoever got the first turn that wasn't Ysh to use Shout. Then followed up with Protect and Breakdowns. Then basically just went nuts afterwards, alternating between drain and aero depending on hp. Before each megaflare I used Cleansing Strike and Magic Shield. Saved multi hits until after each. Used Ramza to throw Tailwind when needed. Refreshed Shout RW at about 50% and SS as needed.

The hard part was timing Greg's jumps.

Challenging fight. Way more challenging than Cag.

<__< yeesh, finally mastered. Too far too long, probably my fault for not wanting to make multiple aero strikes.

Finally mastered once I made a 2nd Aerora Strike, all my other attempts he used a 3rd Mega flare 1 turn before he died. Bartz's RM3 dropped from the fight too lol

Finally got around to doing the Ult/Ult+ now that bonus greens has ended, forgot to bring dispel for Levi, but still managed to full medal master him and barely killed Bahamut before 3rd Megaflare since Shout ran out at last 10%, Arc was the real MVP for these fights with his SSB, magic blink just destroyed all the dmg from megaflares and levi's water attacks.

Yeah.. I don't know how I'm gonna kill Bahamut honestly. Even with Shout, Armor Breakdown and Full Break my damage is pretty much shit. 15k with Crushing Blow isn't enough to kill him before the final Megaflare.
I really need to use HotE here but Leon has no good skills to use with the boss resisting everything :X I really don't wanna pull on any of these banners.
I'll have to figure something out, maybe give Leon generic physical skills and use Quistis RW instead of Indomitable Blade.

Post your setup? I'm not sure how you could be lacking damage if you're going Shout.

Also Tornado Strike is out now so that might help.

Welp, got a 3rd flare and almost ran out of juice... Completed, but I'm not sure how much I really want to work to Master... hell it took 15 minutes just to do the fight.

If your offensive FFIII synergy is like mine (none) and normally rely on soul breaks for damage (like me) then it's not surprising you can't do enough damage before megaflare. The problem with native shout here is it's occupying a soul break slot on a guy who can't take advantage of wind weakness.

Shout+HOTE will cap you out but you'll need two really burly DDs (two buff soul breaks and neither are using wind damage for DPS) and I'm not sure it's worth doing that to juice crushing blow. I'd go for wind weakness and just do soul breaks when they come up, hitting weakness will give you more soul meter than normal anyway.

Not to brag, but with how the game is now, Synergy is not as needed as before, party composition, skills(hones) and SB are more important then synergy

My party is a good exemple, I had almost 0 synergy and only lost 1 medal on bahamut

    Spoiler: show

Replaced Kimahri with Leon and I mastered. Should've used Magic Break instead of Armor Strike but with Protectga, SG and HotE (as well as PB and FB) his physical damage was pretty much neutralized. Used Mighty Guard VIII RW for Shellga and Regen.
Funny thing is that i didn't rely on CB at all before but even with 3 wind users I couldn't get him down fast enough without running out of hones... and I have R4 Aerora Strike, R4 Wind Jump and R4 Wind Slash. I think jump wasn't helping much, too slow.

Celes with Tornado Strike absolutely raped him, never even ran out of hones with his doublecast flares.

For physical I agree insofar as if you can bring the 50% boostgas but synergy makes it easier to avoid relying on them and to use a broader range of characters.
For magic I don't agree for now - the cap is just too high. But magic is pretty bad at the moment so eh to myself.
