Getting Rid of Old Electronics

Basically what the title says, but most of these electronics are dead and I just want to get rid of them for parts while still somehow making a bit of money. I don't expect to get much of anything for them, but if I can get $5 from an old cell phone that I can't get to start because someone wants to take some of the hardware out of it, that'll make me happy.

I have a few old cell phones and a few old computers, not to mention some power cables and adapters. Aside from eBay, which seems to be my best bet so far, what would you suggest? Craigslist? Anyone have any success with this kind of shit?

I vaguely recall some TV ads for some Gazelle service or something that took old/busted phones, though I may be screwing up the name. Think there might also be something for military vets, but they might only want working stuff. Imagine your area would have some kind of electronics recycling place, too. I'd probably only do an ebay sale if you can do it in bulk. Odds of finding a local buyer on craigslist will probably be dramatically small.

I've used Gazelle to sell many things and I have always had good service and experiences. They don't take everything though.... so be weary on that.

I'd love to do that if any of my old phones worked. I tried charging them and couldn't even get them juiced enough to turn on. So I don't know if anyone would want them just to pull parts from.

most carriers still take them, either to be refurbished or scrapped. verizon took my old phone, which had been submerged in river water for about 8 hours.

My local Walmart has an old cell phones for cash machine. Not sure how common those are in your state, but I'd try checking there.
