Volition are back with a brand new game in their latest open-world epic - Agents of Mayhem coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2017.

The developers of the highly acclaimed and hugely successful Saints Row series have taken it to the next level with the creation of a new comic hero universe.

Meet the Agents of M.A.Y.H.E.M. (the Multinational Agency for Hunting Evil Masterminds) – a motley outfit of unique and diverse Super Agents recruited from around the world to thwart the destructive schemes of the evil supervillain organization L.E.G.I.O.N. (the League of Evil Gentlemen Intent on Obliterating Nations).

Featuring an original storyline, trademark over-the-top open-world gameplay, and the look-and-feel of a distinctive superhero cosmos, Agents of Mayhem is pure Volition. The title exists as a part of the Saints Row universe, sharing certain story elements, symbolism, and design inspiration with the multi-million selling franchise. In a simultaneous global assault, LEGION has taken control over the nations of the world and the only force left to stop them is MAYHEM. Led by the mysterious and no-nonsense Persephone Brimstone, MAYHEM’s elite Super Agents are called to the city of Seoul, South Korea. Led by LEGION Minister Doctor Babylon and his diabolical lieutenants, a nefarious plot is set in motion to build a world-altering device that will grant unrivaled power to the supervillain organization. In order to stop LEGION and take back the world, the Agents of Mayhem will traverse a sprawling urban battlefield from the ground to the rooftops and team up as a super-agent collective to stop LEGION at any cost.

It's Mayhem Monday, and the Agents are back! Agents of Mayhem will be releasing on 15th August in USA and 18th August in Europe . When they weren’t busy taking down Dr Babylon and generally causing havoc around Seoul, they took a time out to show you a little more about themselves and what they can do.

After the horrors of Devil’s Night, the world was left in ruins from the devastation that the shadowy supervillain organisation LEGION had left in its wake.

They needed heroes. They got the Agents of Mayhem.

In a case of bad versus evil, this elite band of often unstable misfits, armed with a variety of crazy weapons, work under the watchful eye of Persephone Brimstone, ex-LEGION lieutenant, and her girl Friday, to bring down LEGION and its mysterious leader, the Morningstar.

Explore the city of Seoul with a team of three interchangeable agents, each with their own distinct look, sense of humour, weapons, and skillset. Players can build their team however they choose, switching from Daisy, a mini-gun wielding, beer-swigging, foul-mouthed derby girl, to Rama, an immunologist with a futuristic bow and energy arrows, to Red Card, a psychotic football hooligan with a temper that can literally clear a crowd.

With a toy box of twelve unique agents to choose from, players can jump between notable TV star/pretty boy Hollywood, to sky pirate and internationally infamous thief Fortune, as the mission demands.

Seoul is a big place. When the Agents aren’t using their teleportation abilities, or climbing up the side of the massive buildings, or using the many construction sites that are repairing the damage done on Devil’s Night to get around the city, the best way to manoeuvre the streets is by taking one of their fleet of luxury vehicles created by the automotive genius of the ARK, Quartermile.

Quartermile takes his love of luxury cars seriously and treats them with the love and respect they deserve. Like a kid in a candy store in the Mayhem Motor Pool; Quartermile gives gleeful demonstrations of his high security, combat ready vehicles followed by a written test before they any Agents are issued with one. He takes it as an insult if Agents are careless with his creations, which they usually are. Just for fun, each car has an AI for Agents to chat with as they drive. Afterall, who doesn’t love a talking car?

Johnny Gat preorder bonus

He just couldn’t stay away. Saints Row fans love him, Saints Row fans want to be him, and now they can.

The “Have God re-create the Earth and retcon the entire world of Saints Row” ending of Saints Row: Gat out of Hell means that the dead don’t stay dead. Johnny is back where he was born – Seoul. Gat’s been hard on the beat in this universe as a Lieutenant in Seoul’s police department, but the tragic events of Devil’s Night left Johnny in a coma. After awakening almost a year later, Johnny discovers that all of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency have been wiped out and replaced with C.O.P (Civilian Overwatch Patrol) robot units. Johnny hates robots, loves guns, and his reputation for wanton destruction makes him the perfect fit for MAYHEM.

Exclusively available to those pre-ordering Agents of Mayhem at GameStop, Johnny Gat will be the 13th Agent of Mayhem. Featuring an exclusive unlock mission, personal mission, vehicle/character/weapon skins, as well as the unmistakeable voice of Daniel Dae Kim, that’s a whole lot of Johnny.
