Public Beta is now available
Gamers can start playing immediately by visiting FAQ on PC, or — on consoles — download the client directly through Xbox Store or PlayStation Store.
“Public Beta is an important step towards Gwent’s final release,” said Marcin Iwiński, co-founder of CD PROJEKT RED. “We’re opening the gates to everyone who wanted to play, but didn’t make it into the Closed Beta, and — at the same time — we’re introducing some pretty significant content and gameplay changes like adding animated versions of cards for every card in the game, new starter decks, or how weather cards work,” Iwiński adds. “I’m extra curious how all of the community feedback we’ve incorporated will resonate with both current players and those who’re just starting. Please keep the feedback coming, we’re listening!”
Looking forward to this. Looks like a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the Gwent aspect of W3. CDPR put out a fantastic game in W3, I expect this should be pretty fun too
Well, Its shaping up to be really cool, I'm looking forward to it.
Arena Mode is now available
CD Projekt Red, creators of The Witcher series of games, would like to announce the launch of Arena — a brand new way to play Gwent.
In Arena, players create decks by drafting cards from Gwent’s entire collection and fight for rewards. Decks in Arena follow their own set of rules, separate from other game modes. When building their armies, players can use cards from all playable factions, as well as use more copies of certain card types. The game ends once a player wins nine games or loses three. The more opponents are defeated, the greater the reward is.
The new game mode is governed by the nefarious Gaunter O’Dimm — a fan-favorite character from Hearts of Stone, an expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. To participate in Arena, players need to enter Master Mirror’s realm by using a new in-game item called Mirror Shards. Shards are attainable using real or in-game currency.
Leaving Beta and Launching as a Full Release for PC on October 23rd and Consoles on December 4th
Following the release of Homecoming — the biggest update in the game’s history — GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is coming out of beta and launching on PC on October 23rd via GOG.com, and December 4th on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Announced back in April, Homecoming introduces significant changes to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, fleshing out elements which made the original Gwent from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt a community favorite. The update also incorporates gamer feedback developers have been receiving throughout the game’s Public Beta.
Among others, Homecoming includes a complete rework of the game’s board into a fully three-dimensional battlefield featuring two distinct rows, a redesign of the game’s visuals now in sync with the dark and gritty feel of the world of The Witcher, a new deck building experience, as well as new card mechanics.

Along with a multitude of new tools for waging war, Crimson Curse introduces over 100 cards across all of GWENT’s playable factions.
