Heeeeeeey finally got around to playing this. Gonna work getting the platinum trophy and I have a question about the challenge token; I know when you do NG+ you keep all your stuff, but what about the taskmaster challenges? Do those reset as well or do you keep your current score from first playthrough? I know you don't need gold on all the challenges, and I haven't replayed any of them for a better score as of yet, but just wondering if I can relegate a few of the last tokens I'll need to just getting bronze scores again on NG+ or if i'll have to just try and increase my score.

I want to go back and do some of the optional stuff but then I remember hating the "chase the bomb through the city" or whatever. I think those were taskmaster ones? While I completed a ton of stuff, I just chalked up whatever used those tokens as "not gonna happen".

You dont have to get gold for every of the taskmaster stuff, even for the platinum. You could easily get basic bronze on the drone chases

They definitely give you more tokens than you need to 100% all of the unlocks. Still waiting on a proper DLC discount here (I'll probably find a retailer Gold Edition for $15-20 before that happens) to check those out + do my NG+ run for trophy stuff. Only thing I didn't bother doing with the core game were the secret photos, since even with the one radar unlock for them, the range on it is too small for them and I can't be bothered to do a manual checklist for the reward it gives.

I do recommend playing the NG+ nightmare mode or whatever it is. By the time I did it I was so used to the main game that hard mode was easy simply because you don't get hit. To beat a dead horse..."You really start to feel like spiderman."

PS5 Remastered Edition included with the Ultimate Edition release of Miles Morales.

On PS5, we are announcing an Ultimate Edition that includes a voucher code* for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered. You’ll be able to experience the complete storyline up to this point, which includes the remaster of the original game and all three installments of the Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC so you can play the full narrative arc.

The remaster for the PS5 is no simple up-res, as many of the game’s art assets have been completely updated to take advantage of the PS5 console’s horsepower. You’ll see better-looking characters with improved skin, eyes, hair, and facial animation (including our new, next-generation Peter Parker). You’ll also see ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows, improved lighting, more pedestrians and vehicles stretching further into the distance, and the same optional performance mode offered on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, allowing you to finally play the game at a targeted 60fps frame rate. We’ll be supporting near-instant loading, 3D audio, and the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback. Lastly we’re adding three amazing new Spider-Man suits, new photo mode features, and even new trophies for those of you looking to Platinum the game all over again.

Nice. I figured it was a safe assumption they'd include the DLC as well, but hadn't seen any mention of it before.

Ah yes, when playing Spider-Man I want to be reminded I'm actually playing as Tom Holland. Kneejerk aside, he looks too....real human? All the character models in the game had a slight styling going on, and now he's going to stand out like a sore thumb against the rest of the cast. I had absolutely zero problems with the prior face, and this new one makes him looks a bit too young.

I mean other then ray tracing I wouldn't really expect games to look that much better on the new consoles.

Better textures from more RAM and closer to native res/higher frame rates from the extra hardware muscle, but unless ray tracing is added the graphics otherwise likely won't be *that* much better and more of marginal improvements.

Remastering a game that's barely 2 years old is just kinda lol, tech hasn't improved that much.

It's cleaner is the only improvement. Looks way too young now IMO

So from what I've found, they have a new facial actor who is a better facial match for Yuri Lowenthal (whatever that means). By the time Lowenthal was cast as Spider-man's VA, they had already done a lot of the facial capture work and it wasn't worth going back.. ..and yeah?

I can;t believe they redid his face. I liked the previous version and this seems like a waste to me.
