So maybe I'm freaking out over nothing...

But on giant bomb, they let slip earlier in the week that they have review copies of death stranding but are embargoed until the 1st. No biggy, usual stuff.

Now, they posted a video on Jack box, a party game you play with your phone and console. They were doing a make-a-fake-word game, and the prompt was trash sequence, to which one of them wrote "any sequence in a metal gear game" trying to annoy one of their cast members that is a huge kojima/mgs fan. Hilarity ensues. Then, the game took that, and asked them to create a synonym that means the same thing. Someone wrote "A Kojima turd". Hilarity ensues. Now...the game asked them to create a sentence for their kojima turd, and right away you can see on their faces something not right. The producer, who's been playing this whole time as well, says oh boy were walking on a mine field. The MGS fan did a few bug eyes and side eyes, and one guy said oh geez I almost got fired for that holdup.

Idk dudes, kinda freaking out cause I'm reading between the lines here.

505 Games will publish the PC version of Hideo Kojima’s highly-anticipated title Death Stranding, releasing in Summer 2020. The console version of the Death Stranding will exclusively be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 with a release date of Friday, Nov. 8, 2019. Additional details about the PC release of Death Stranding will be revealed in the near future.

I want to see if Kojima got lucky with the metal gear universe, or if he really has new ideas that he can show off because hes free of konami and metal gear. This game is a lot more than just a game imo

I'd have figure FFXV/7R would be contenders for that award, regardless of the disappointing end result of XV. That said, surprised Sony isn't trying to publish the PC version also under some non-Sony named handle they own, just to take a cut from sales on that platform as well. Don't know what the licensing situation for the Decima engine means to them since Guerilla built it.

Lots of new footage. Going to stay off reddit and the like, know damn good and well there are tons of people frame by framing this stuff to figure stuff out.

Really looking forward to Friday to seeing if the hype is well placed or if it's all a bunch of smoke being blown up Kojima's ass. I'm confident it's the former, but won't blindly defend it if it's latter.

Lots of reviews popping up. I've only watched Skill Up's because I can trust him to not spoiler anything, and I'm confident in his ability to grasp the concept and meaning. His review is glowing, to put it lightly.

As expected it is getting very mixed reviews. But overall it sounds like a giant walking simulator where the main objective of the game is to delivery packages while not damaging the boxes you carry (any rock, bump, etc.. can make you trip).

Are there any reviews/ impressions of the CE? Wondering if i should still get it or just get the special edition.

Fun experience for Kojima stans sure, but everything about the actual gameplay seems bad
