As I understand it, they vote on no deal exit today. If it fails, they vote on delaying tomorrow. If the delay fails it's a hard exit. If it passes, the EU can extend if other member states all agree.

If the no deal vote today doesn't pass then a no deal exit is blocked.
The deal is voted down already ( twice ).

The only real option then is article 50 extension ( for no reason other than no good options ), or a second referendum.

The main problems we're facing is:

Corbyn hasn't been able to present as a credible alternative, a lot of labour constituences voted brexit .

Plenty of conservatives voted remain - which leaves them at odds with their party and potentially open to voting for Labour if they promised a second referendum.

The problem is the core labour voters who voted brexit would feel betrayed and might ditch the party, and the new conservative voters he's trying to poach would be short term voters, so it could hurt the party. It's a big gambit and he doesn't have the balls for it.

There are a very limited number of conservatives who could replace May. Gove is the only credible candidate but Javid wants the job. The conservatives will struggle to back a second referendum due to the 30 ish hard brexit members who fomented brexit by threatening to leave for UKIP unless we had the 1st referendum.

It's really the only sensible path at this point but MPs are being quiet publicly while dragging us towards it.

The problem with all of this stems from the fact that the government shouldn't have "punted" the responsibility of a vote on "leave" or "stay" to the people as a referendum. Something as intricate and nuanced as being (or not being) in the EU shouldn't be decided by people whom most of them don't understand 99% of all the details involved in this process. What makes it worse are the shit-post equivalent of a shit-voters, people voting leave just for the "funny" of it. This is really the entire governments fault and they deserve to suffer for the error, not the people of the country.

I understand that it takes balls, but the representatives are supposed to do what they think is best even if it runs contrary to popular opinion, let alone when it agrees with popular opinion two years later.

From the looks of it, they voted on a second referendum today and it didn't pass, even though that turnout is not binding. What they did agree on was that the deadline should be extended, which, at this point, will require the consent of all 27 other EU member states.

Cancel Brexit petition on the Parliament's website has over 2M signatures. 100k is the minimum needed to debate it. MP's are joking that they won't take it seriously unless it gets 17.4M.

You have to enter a valid postcode and sign up and confirm a genuine email address.
They also have good anti-bot protection because early on it did get abused ( systems been online for a few years now ).

The electoral roll is also public for each voting area, so it's easy to verify at least it's a valid name+matching postcode. ( our postcodes are quite small, mine has about 11 houses in it and most would be 20-30 houses. ).
