Tory majority was expected, though perhaps not to this extent (have to wait and see how close the exit poll is to the actual margin). Corbyn really is the worst imaginable leader for Labour to put forward.

Jo Swinson is also losing her seat to the SNP so that's karma for her. I'm not going to put 100% of the blame on Corbyn I think he campaigned (And I absolutely love him as a candidate) as well as he could but.

-The dude was more unpopular there than Hillary was in the states.
-The UK Press did labour absolutely 0 favors and the BBC in essence ran Tory propaganda.
-Lib Dems took pop shots at Labour including their leader Jo Swinson for shit like not having a hard remain stance (Even though Corbyn's official 2019 position was a second referendum which was the Lib Dem's 2017 position).
-Remain vote getting split between Lib Dems and Labour while the Brexit party and UKIP basically got absorbed into the Tories. (Pretty sure Tactical Voting did absolutely shit to mitigate this)

Probably a bunch of other shit as well but god damn I'm fucking hurt. Gonna wait a few days to think about this further because its a massive fucking shock. Its basically the result Theresa May wanted in 2017 but Boris fucking delivered fuck this timeline.

agreed, Brexit remains the issue which overwhelms all others and the Tories solidified the leave vote entirely under their banners while remain got split between two English parties and one Scottish party. still, Corbyn man bad.

in related news SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon just stated her intention to formally demand Bojo give Scotland the power to hold a second independence referendum. looks like SNP will go +12ish to take 47-48 of Scotland's 59 seats (while gathering more of the popular vote than Labour + Conservative combined) which she is proclaiming as a mandate for independence. Bojo is almost certain to refuse which would produce an interesting constitutional crisis in a country without a constitution.
