I live in the 25th district, and the dems absolutely despise Knight with a passion.
As to the clinton->repub thing, the area is pretty evenly split dem/repub.
It used to be a full-on Yeehaw Cowboy red truck stop town back in the day. But then all the overflow of young dem families keep pouring into the now city. It's kinda interesting to watch the natives flip out over what's been happening.
Looks like CA 10 and CA 48 are the two possible Dem lockouts - although the Dems are clinging to 2nd place in both.
Finally found a source that doesn't lump all the non top-6 Governor candidates into "other" - my guy Michael Shellenberger holding strong at 10th (out of 27) with 0.5% of the vote.

NYTimes Results also holds complete breakdowns.
de Leon is now in second place.
If that holds, that will almost certainly worry Feinstein.
God damn do i hate Newsom and Feinstein
God damn the politicians of this fine state
Possible tabulation error in CA-48 where Rouda(D) is missing 2000 votes. If confirmed the race for second will be a tight race between 2 Dems and a Republican.
I can't find even a single county where Villaraigosa is beating Cox, what a bust.
Back from working the polls. Compared to what I remember of previous midterm primaries, turnout was even on in polling place votes, no rise or fall.
But the ratio of provisional ballots to straight ballots was somewhat higher, and the number of mail-ins being dropped of at the polls is fuckhuge. (I didn't work the roster position, so couldn't say what percent in precinct were issued VBM.)
The judge who gave Brock Turner (the Stanford swimmer who sexually assaulted a drunk woman in an alley) only 6 months in prison has been recalled by voters.
Yes, it should worry Feinstein.
Would the CA liberal machine crush de Leon? Absolutely. But Feinstein does not want to have to run left/campaign against another democrat when democrats are going to be needing every vote they can get to try and take back the house. Another high profile establishment-versus-insurgent campaign is not what CA needs and will further de-spirit the base.
Yes. Feinstein should be worried about securing *Checks page* 44% of the primary vote against De Leon's....
*Checks again* 10%. Really sucks tho was rooting for De Leon. The race for her seat once she finally retires (Or dies in office) will be exciting.
I just wanted Villaraigosa to finish second so Newsom couldn't completely coast on "Trump is bad"
but alas

Fair point, though Republicans are going to be out to vote anyway, considering Governor is up for grabs. As has been outlined, Newsom isn't exactly...inspiring confidence.
Edit: Conversely, Trump is dumb enough to campaign for Cox in CA. It is the democrats to lose, I suppose.
So the nightmare scenario never actually panned out, and the democrats are at least competitive in every race, including all the allegedly flippable seats.
It was an absolute hot mess of a primary tho. The two districts I paid close attention to (45th Walters, 48th Rohrabacher), the dem endorsed candidate wound up losing to another dem.
I don't know how you're going to blame the voters here (I admit, something I am never a fan of doing, but I digress), there's lots of stories filed of the "confusion" by voters on who to vote for. On some level, I want to hold the state and national dems accountable for not clearing the field and fielding better candidates (if the path to retaking the house really does lie in CA), but the strategy wound up working out anyway. And you're not going to get a pair of democrats to run against each other in these districts since they're republican districts and they have incumbency advantage.
