Unrelatedly I'm disappointed in Cynthia Nixon's performance. Though that might be a combination that she can't generate enough buzz and the fact that on every issue she's targeted Cuomo has capitulated to.

Effect policy for a few months at least.
Basically. I fully expect the IDC to get revived after the election and republicans to get control back of the legislature there again if Cuomo stays in power.
TPAW Stirring Up Trouble with Immigration
https://blogs.mprnews.org/newscut/20...r-controversy/Sanctuary jurisdictions such as Minneapolis and St. Paul require their employees not to ask people for their immigration status to get city services, including policing.
Mayor Jacob Frey, who oversees the police department, isn’t happy. In a Friday statement, Frey said:
Police Chief Medaria Arradondo weighed in Friday afternoon, too, with a statement of his own. “We will not engage in any activity that singles out an individual based solely upon their citizenship or immigration status,” the chief said. Our policy preventing MPD officers from asking about immigration status is not an advisory guideline that can be selectively ignored. It is a city law that cannot be reversed by Bob Kroll or any political candidate. They don’t speak for the city.
So let me make it clear: our separation ordinance will be enforced no matter who occupies the office of Governor or who is leading the police union. Minneapolis stands with our immigrant brothers and sisters who have, throughout our city’s history, made Minneapolis a better place to live.
Democrats took over Shelby County (Memphis, TN) in a huge wave.

I'm really conflicted here in Michigan with the governor D Primary. It is 2016 all over again pretty much. We have one that could double as Hillary and two Bernie Sander types. I'm not sure if i'm just over thinking it but the more liberal people have names that i don't think would play well when it comes to the real race. Abdul El-Sayed, Shri Thanedar and Gretchen Whitmer are the three. Abdul is the one i would most likely pick after looking at all their information. Is it sad that i'm not sure just based on the name and how well it would play later, or am I just being retarded here?
Shri is a fucking fraud is all I have to say.
Abdul is hella good. If I were voting it'd be for him.
Yea, Shri seems like a fake to me as well. Kinda doing what Trump did on the R side. He sees an opportunity to gain power by riding the blue wave and is using his own money to do so. Sadly, i see his stuff up everywhere so if anything he will at least split the vote between himself and Abdul, which means Whitmer will most likely win (IMO of course).

85% of precincts reporting in OH12 and Danny O'Connor is ahead by less than 1%.

Ope, never mind. He's now up by .1%. I don't know where the remaining 15% of precincts lean but that doesn't look good.
Edit: Yeah looking at it now almost every remaining precinct leans red. Narrow loss incoming. Feh.

I'm sorry to report that the Nazis are at it again folks, and *checks notes* for the 189th straight time, they're Republicans.

On his Monday morning radio show, Steve West promotes fanatical conspiracies about “Jewish cabals” that are “harvesting baby parts” through Planned Parenthood, that torture and molest children and that run the Republican Party.
On Tuesday he won the Republican primary for a Clay County seat in the Missouri House.
“Looking back in history, unfortunately, Hitler was right about what was taking place in Germany. And who was behind it,” West said on a show on KCXL radio on Jan. 23, 2017.
"Hitler was right," always a bold political stance.
Why are you so afraid of a free and open exchange of ideas regarding the Jewish question?
Kobach is up less than 100 votes in the Kansas Republican governor primary as the last absentees and provisional ballots trickle in.
He's also a conspiracy theorist about voter fraud and the sitting Attorney General so this should be fun.
