So Brianna Wu, of Gamergate infamy, got crushed in her attempt to run for Congress even with all the free signal boosting that Kotaku was handing her. The Trump supporting Republican, Geoff Diehl, won the privilege of getting ground beneath Liz Warren's heel as well over a few other candidates who were a bit more level headed. Warren is basically outspending everyone else in the race by at least 4:1, with her closest monetary rival being Independent candidate Shiva Ayyadurai who got some publicity as having the campaign slogan "Only A Real Indian Can Defeat A Fake Indian."

We also had a major upset in the Suffolk County race where ten term congressman Mike Capuano was defeated by a Justice Democrat by the name of Ayanna Pressley. She pledged to push hard to make Medicare For All and Impeaching Trump things that will happen.

Lots of people are unopposed heading into the general election here in MA at this point.

“Our campaign raised almost $200,000,” she noted in Twitter shortly after polls closed. “And truth be told, I did not put nearly the amount of work into this that I should have.”

She has to either hold onto it to be used for a future campaign or donate it. However donations are pretty open-ended depending on state campaign finance laws. She could donate it to The Foundation to Give Brianna Wu $200,000.

Wild. So the leftists wanted the trifecta of Nixon, Jumaane Williams for Lt. Governor, and Zephyr Teachout for AG.

With 21% reporting, Nixon is down 30, Williams is up 5, and Teachout is down 21.

Julia Salazar, the Dem Soc for State Senate who has gotten a ridiculous amount of coverage (pro and con) is up 10% with 55% reporting. Also a bunch of the "IDC" Dems who caucus with Republicans to deny 1-party control of the state are in trouble to their real Dem challengers.

Not a single one of the Assembly incumbents being challenged is going to lose, but like half of the challenged incumbent Senators are. Wild.
