Flying to France by way of Turkey for an upgrade is actually a self-own, though. You made the trip take like 3+ times as long for an upgrade? Have you nothing to do?

Have you ever flown overseas in business or first class? It's a completely different experience compared to domestic first class, where you might get a bit more legroom and a mediocre meal. On international flights, it's like relaxing in a luxury recliner at home, surrounded by top-tier amenities that make the journey enjoyable. Some airlines even offer seats that fully recline into a bed (and in some first-class cabins, you can even get a private bed if you're really living large). Given the choice, I'd take a long-haul international flight in first class over a shorter trip in economy any day. There's a reason it costs an extra $10,000—if you're getting that experience for free, it's even an easier choice.
I have, upstairs in a 747 (I think) on British Air as an upgrade because they overbooked economy and had empty seats in first. It was cool, and maybe I would fly through Turkey for the experience if I hadn't. However, between a 6 hour direct flight in lil'sardine economy or a 16 hour trip connecting through Turkey, it isn't even close for me.
Spousal privilege doesn't even apply to events that happened before marriage, those two were just living in sin and wanted to get right with God.

Apparently the feds are still having trouble getting into Eric Adams phone, after he changed and "forgot" the password.
Ok so what does everyone think of the California measures that are up? Been researching but was curious about my fellow BGers in CA.

There is a local prosecutor who is running for a house republican seat in MN. He likes to promote that he successfully prosecuted a group of Somalis for Covid money corruption which was meant for securing food for children. What has come out, though is that he gave some favorable deals to fentanyl dealers and abusers (including those that abused children).

1. Joe Teirab cut a plea deal with Senif Joel Garza: who had previously been convicted on a criminal felony for his role in a drive-by shooting and has since been convicted for dealing fentanyl
a. After Teirab cut a deal with Garza, Garza was once again arrested, this time related to a fentanyl deal in Mankato. Garza was convicted of second-degree fentanyl and heroin sales
1. Teirab cut a plea deal with Edgar Javier Garza: a man accused of domestic violence and brutal assault
2. Teirab cut a plea deal with Abdelqadir Mahmoud, a man with a long history of making violent threats and assault. After pleading guilty, Mahmoud received no further jail time
a. Mahmoud went on to violate his probation in this case and be resentenced to actual time behind bars – but he continued to commit multiple violent offenses in Minnesota. This includes being convicted of charges related to making death threats towards people in a parking lot, attacking another man on a Light Rail station platform, assaulting a correctional facility employee and police officer and attempting to rob a man at a bus stop
3. Teirab cut a plea deal with Samuel Charles Skelton II: a methamphetamine dealer who had previously been convicted for domestic assault, violating a harassment restraining order and threatening a woman.
4. Teirab cut a plea deal with Lloyd Erin Stevens: a drug dealer who had a string of felonies related to substances, firearms and violence.
5. Teirab struck a plea deal with Gregory Jones, a man charged with fentanyl distribution and firearms offenses, reducing his sentence.
1. In 2018, Teirab prosecuted a case against Curtis John Tauber, who was charged with malicious punishment of a child and intentional domestic assault. Teirab cut a plea deal with him, allowing him to evade executed jail time
2. In a case from 2019, a woman with prior domestic assault convictions was accused of kicking her four-year-old child to the ground. Teirab allowed her to plead guilty to only one gross misdemeanor charge for assaulting her boyfriend, and in return, several more serious charges against her were dropped and she received no further jail time.
3. Teirab struck another plea deal in a 2018 case against a woman who was accused of repeatedly beating her young children with a belt with police observing several marks on her three-year-old child’s body. The woman was allowed to plead guilty to just two misdemeanor charges and didn’t receive executed jail time.
4. Teirab was involved in the prosecution of a case against Jesse Alan Moody, who was charged with felony sexual conduct with a nine-year-old. The case went to trial and Teirab lost the case when Moody was acquitted by a jury
MN house ended with an even 67/67 split between the two parties. At least two years of nothing happening.
Tulsa elected its first black mayor last night.
Also conservatives targeted the removal of 3 left-leaning justices with retention elections and only 1 judge got removed, so not a terrible night in Oklahoma.
Here in AZ our abortion prop passed, thank god. But then we retained the two judges that allowed it to get to that point.............
