Wow. AI really might be the end of us, and not because machines rise up and take over. It will be because we use it to create convincing fake videos that turn us against our neighbors. We will tear ourselves apart long before any robot has to.

Tom Tiffany is running for Wisconsin governor on the Republican ticket. The price has risen a dollar since this was posted and this particular post was removed from his Facebook page in response. He forgot about this one, though.
Following a machine recount, the mayor's seat of Boca Raton (Trump +13) has flipped from R to D by a single vote.

While it definitely was close, his opponents split the GOP vote allowing him to win. Majority of the city still voted red.
The California gubernatorial race is a complete shit show right now. There's no Democratic front runner with 10 weeks to go til the June primary. USC cancelled a debate after much controversy when the metrics for the 6 spots happened to exclude all the Democratic candidates of color, include both GOP candidates who are polling higher than normal because of the 10 (now 7 or 8) dem candidates fragmenting votes, and part of the metrics for the debate slots was public information on each candidate's campaign fundraising. For two of the Dem candidates, one is a billionaire and the other was a late entry to the race and backed by Silicon Valley and both are white, perception is they bought their spots.
There is a chance that there will be a Republican governor if the Dem candidates all stay in the race, split the vote in the primary, and the general election is all red.
Steyer absolutely just throws money around all over the place to get his name out.
He "ran" for president in 2020 and spent a quarter billion dollars on his campaign despite dropping out before the first primary.
I'm seeing more news coverage about the California's Governor's race, and how Democrats are on track to fumbling big time over there. Unless of course a myriad of candidates get honest with themselves about their shitty prospects of winning.
I don't want to see an easy path paved for the likes of that shithead GOP sheriff who just seized a load of November ballots claiming bullshit fraud, representing the sore loser cucks Republicans have become after every major election.
Sounds like a good place for party discipline that cultivates a strict line of succession
No line of succession is exactly what we are founded against.
Sexual assault allegations taking Eric Swalwell out of the CA governor race as party leaders like Pelosi publicly urging him to withdraw from the race
Well that's one way to consolidate the democratic vote
