Some of these reviews man...
After watching "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword," I wanted to revisit "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" for its realism.Spoiler: show
People seem to have forgotten that Guy Ritchie directed this.
Realism? Cmon peeps.
I just got back from it.
The "review" hate this is getting is unjustified. It is by no means a good movie, if you can only live with those in your life, then enjoy your lifelong loop re-watch of The Princess Bride & Lord of the Rings.
But I have seen worse films.
Recently.
The plot is decent, the pacing is decent, the acting is decent, the cinematography is good, the design is good (dat siege), the world-building is okay.
The only complaints I can make are, the Excalibur fight scenes could have stood to be better choreographed and with more coherent effects (and probably brought down the SFX budget), if any time added to the film could be used to increase development for the rest of the cast without compromising the film it should have been done, and the go-pro shoulder chase scene shout shots were pointless and dumb.
You say that like endlessly watching Princess Bride for eternity is a bad thing.
Took my father to see this today, the only showtime we could make was a 3d showing. I don't enjoy 3d and skip it whenever possible, but I was shocked that the 3d was remarkably well done. It was better than the 3d on GotG 2.
