Mastered both CM, however went 1/2 on Leviathan because I thought he was weak to lightning for some reason, and equipped the wrong RMs.
Fixed that and went 1/1.

Mel: Krile such a waste... couldn't get her to nuke for more than 2.5k even when hitting weakness - not sure wtf was her issue. Decided to swap her out to Galuf and go the physical route and just hit Fire weakness with Exdeath... easy win, CM Mastered
Leviathan; Same issue, Krile a complete waste of space even with 3/3 MAG Synergy items, only Exdeath was doing any damage. Decent FFV Soulbreaks, including Faris bow, Exdeath Rod, and Lenna Staff and Rod, but lenna was too busy curing, and Leviathan was counter-happy... maybe I'll come back to it?
A Team destroyed it for now though.
Kept getting RNG fucked by counters and double aqua breath, but eventually downed Levi. Had a weird error with Meli that had my phone crashes and eat 60 stamina, though.
No unique SB CM U+ run, full medals:
With this setup, the only threats are aqua breath and waterga, provided you disrupt the tsunamis which are easy to do as long as you're hasted. As long as he doesn't go too heavy on aqua breaths, the fight is pretty easy like this.
For the U fight, I personally suggest going physical, and carry a fire strike or some other fire ability you can sneak in there to use on turn 1 for the medals. Trying to mess around with weaknesses is more headache than its worth, considering it nulls or absorbs anything not matching the current weakness, and a shout team works just fine. Magic lure with a high RES stack and gigas armlet on greg is a hard counter to the single target spells, leaving only the AoE spells which only happen on the phase changes that can damage the rest of your party. Obviously, leave the saint cross and any other elemental attacks at home aside from your fire attack if you go this route.
Had more trouble with Melusine than Leviathan honestly. Then again I went in without resistant gear and I prooobably shouldn't have done that LOL. Still 1/1's, though I had to S/L on Levi a couple times. He had a Turn 3 Tsunami build up while I was on Full Charge/Cleansing Strike with Bartz/Agrias and didn't have time to get around to the three interrupts (he cast it as soon as Bartz was about to hit the third Thundara Strike ;w; )
Overall, for my good team, it wasn't bad. Still wish I had five chars from a realm so I can do CM stuff. Slowly working on it.
See, I was different. I went 1/1 on boobies and 1/2 on Gyarados.
Only hard part about Leviathan is the damned random counters....
i could be remembering wrong, but i'm nearly certain i saw back to back AOEs at least once during my run (double blizzaga, specifically). i'm guessing it's probably a low% chance to fire prior to the phase change or something.
i went a little nuts with mythril refreshes on sunday (7 or 8 i think?) specifically to get a team leveled up. i wouldn't normally, but i pulled a BSB, i'm very well situated for relics in general, and it was also easier to justify with double greens; i'm sitting on ~55k now after clearing out all of the motes and dagger/rod. i wanted to have a decent stockpile since orbfest is coming up relatively soon and that will put a damper on greens for a week or two.
Mother fucker omni lost mastery cause he decided to flare on death and wall fell off
I still need another..6k Greens or so to finish the 4* Motes, which I"ll do later on today, and yeah.. I actually spent my Sunday leveling Cid/Palom/Relm for their EXP Boost RMs since I still hadn't had them. I got Cid's unlocked, Relm's almost 65 for her's, and just need to get her there, farm for it and get Palom's. That'll at least make farming a bit easier, especially when Orbfest hits.
But yeah, right now oddly enough, my FFIX levels are actually not too terrible so I may be able to do them on the next IX event. Not sure. I'm definitely going ham on Orbfest though.
Regarding Melusine, the reason I almost wiped to her was because she did double AOE a couple times in the fight. Hits like a fucking truck with no wall lol
reporting back after clearing omniscient with a party of 65's no RS. They key for me was using a better RW in terra's BSB essentially giving my best mage (rinoa65 @ 340 magic) a full 10 extra aja's. I skipped the reflect as i can't hone it anyway. Didn't use wall, Shell was way more then enough to mitigate all dmg he dealt.
I actually went without heals at all, but took my WHM anyway as a Diaga + Slowga spam. Could've probably fit Carbuncle in instead of Diaga though so Omni would've wrecked himself, but I didn't even think to do that. Derp.
Was hard, but went 1/1 on CMs for both with no unique SBs other then Lenna's lolfullraise SB and Krile's shitty wind drake (did barely 3k to Leviathan U+, so pretty useless). Found Melusine way harder then Levi, Levi was pretty easy unless he went into full aqua breath retaliate spam.
Leviathan is worse then Ifrit
Leviathan Dead
Was not easy with all his counter
already mastered CM, but i did a fun run on leviathan earlier, breakdown overload setup. faris/irvine/auron/tyro/gilgamesh, shout RW, and faithful companion's regen was my only source of healing. managed to kill with full medals, 4/5 still up at the end. shit melts pretty quick when you have 4 armor breakdowns stacked together, haha.
Bleh think I'm giving up the cid mission ultimate. Can't do enough damage.
Mastered U+ CM. Lots of S/L when it was Counter Aqua Breath > Aqua Breath > Aqua Breath. Fucking annoying. And ExDeath was 00 on his death timer for the killing blow. The Double casts of MM and DZ really helped. Was maxing damage with full debuffs and Endark.
Krile|R5 Thundaja - R5 Blizzaja | Witch of Succession
XD| R4MM - R3 DZ | Double Darkness RM | Endark SB
Bartz| R4 Thundara Strike - R4 Mental Break | One-Eyed General - Firebrand RS
Faris| R2 Full Break - R4 MBD | Bow 20% Dmg RM | Kindred Spirit SB
Lenna| Curaja - Protectga | +20% heal RM | Princess's Favor SB
RW MG8
Melusine: I didn't play the element game and just beat her down.
Leviathan: The hardest part I had was getting used to his absurdly low speed, which made it all the more frustrating to properly time thunder attacks. Had to redo because he went into wave mode when I wasn't ready at (tiny amount of bar remaining), and I had just removed it and couldn't land all 3 thunder attacks again in time. Drawfire/reta to convert his physicals into damage, 1 mage since thats where my RS is.
