Beginning to suspect I won't break rank 3k on Arena. Hard is pretty much a reliable clear, while Mania is honestly 50/50. Bad tile RNG on the boss or 3 mob rounds tends to be a wipe there. :/

I've moved on to get SA done as well. Im 1 GE sword short of finishing my second set, and have a 3rd Spell and Bash weapon ready to max LB because thats all that ever wants to drop for me.

My plan is to use the SA hero stones to replenish what ive spent on GE refreshes (28 stones), burn through the new dungeon update (110 stones), farm a max LB fire Lailah, and then work on a 3rd set of GE weapons while the event remains to aim toward a 3rd weapon set since im essentially halfway through a 3rd set.

Aiming for 150 stones for whatever Anniversary gacha we get. Already at 100k mana for SA, will hopefully be at 600k by tomorrow.

Whats even worse than the people at 600k on day 1 are the people who get to 2-3 mil by day 2.

If you are able to spend the time (or can auto story realm 4 for bewitching thicket), tomorrow is a 1.5 exp day which makes for very easy SA refreshes. Do 2-3 runs of arena, auto story mission, rank up, repeat. I did 600k on Mania my first 2 soul arenas on natural stamina before realizing this. Key of Weapon stages work too and you get stronger weapons to boot.

I don't think I did the ToZ Lailah event; saw she was 4 star, but wasn't sure if she was one of those hidden gem 4 stars that had a delay or healing arte. She any good?

She isn't one of the gacha pool 4* gems, but in terms of raw stats in relation to even some 5* units she is pretty good. Purely a stat stick, as a lot of the farmable units are, but one of the better ones.

She specifically is a strong MA user and finisher, especially for a 4*. Her SA happened right after Rose, which followed Edna (which we currently have) because Bamco has a hard on for ToZ events atm.

This is a good rundown on how the farmable ToZ clash event units compared to their 5* equivalents. Basically at max LB the farmable units are a tick better than unbroken 5* units.

Cleared Barbatos Ares Arena!

Was really nervous on the last stage, because I apparently did too much damage on my initial MA and brought him into tile attack mode. So I spent the last 10 or so rounds having to manage arte healers, LC count AND correct tiles. So glad its over.

What are the stats on Barbatos? And best summon item name ever.

..And, realistically, do I even have a shot at the guy?

I have.. Sorey lead (1.3 boost) and a good spread of FL people who also have a 1.4 or 1.5 boost character. Hardest hitters are God Eater Edna, God Eater Reid, God Eater Veigue, Zelos, and Sorey. Only have one art healer, since I was an idiot and pulled on the God General banner instead of the healing one.

We don't know Barbatos's stats yet. The fact that 3 of the summoning items are available has the reddit community split.

Either he will be comparable stat wise to Dhaos and Yggdrasil out of the box with a potential for 3 of them to max limit break him for people strong enough to clear all 36 stages, or his base form will be weaker and limit breaking him will then make him comparable to Dhaos/Ygg. I kind of hope its the former, so it gives some people who havnt been playing forever a chance.

He does seem a lot easier than Dhaos, and especially easier than Ygg at stage 30. The fact he is fire and really only has 2 attacks until you hit his tile attack (heart, star, triangle) lets you abuse the Stahn friend 3x square tile boost with minimal fear. Even without a maxed God Eater weapon, his stage 30 HP is only 15million. That means a 7.5m MA will kill him in one shot which is fairly easy to abuse with either an element weapon and element closer(with guardians), or a double boosted (tile and type) neutral element MA.

I'm still using the 1.3 Millia/Sorey leads as well, so grab a strong 1.5 friend unit and gear with that in mind. You have the arte healers.

Hmm.. ok, I'll give Ares realm a whirl; my friend who has a comparable squad to me got stuck before him on the Centaur thing, since he has a huge wind squad.

I'm also regretting not cashing in all of my wind tickets for LP, thanks to this stupid Abyss event.

We have Anniversary Banners!

They should go live on Oct. 2nd. There is a pop-up 3 day re-issue of the Idolmaster units starting tomorrow with a 10 pull banner guarantee of any 5* being an Idolmaster unit. Anise is the prize with her very potent arte heal, and Colette is the consolation prize, but the rest of the units are pretty meh.

The Anniversary banner will be an 11 pull banner, guaranteeing at least 2 4* units or up, guaranteed at least one featured units (6 4* and 6 5*), and a Gift Bag with chances at 5* limit break hawks. The big prize is Anniversary Sara who is an arte healer, Rainbow 1.5 HP/Atk all units lead, and a very useful Square/Triangle -> Heart Active Skill. Leon is an all tile flip to Star which pairs really well with Judith and a delay arte. Cress just has stupid high HP (5k+ before any boosts). Rita has a strong 2.5x Spell Type Boost for an Active Skill, though she kind of joins Cheria and Zelos as the booby prizes.

Effective rate of pulling one character (Sara, specifically) from the Anniversary draw is ~6%, but the Idolmaster banner is a little outdated and even the lesser prizes are equal to the Anniversary pool lesser prizes, so might as well get some hawks out of the deal.

I'm pretty low on stones and the God General banner made me pretty salty.

Pretty much every Cress has ridiculously high HP.. my first pull was the Cress with the skill that boosts attack with high links. The main reason he's still in my crew is because of his ridiculous HP.

I'd love to get Idolmaster Anise..but eh, last time I got Idolmaster Leia. She served her purpose until I got a better squad.

At this point, I just need a solid Arte Healer aside from Edna.

Guess I should be more aggressive on Soul Arena though and get Sara's Mystic Arte. Because knowing my luck, I'll have another situation like where I have this awesome Sorey, but no MA.

I have 2 artes healers, myself. Beach Asbel and one of the 5* Asch variants from the god general pull. Also got Sync, which I have in as a delayer (that never procs, grr) and his All > Triangle ability. That's basically been carrying me through any content I can build the LC on. Otherwise, I have 3 mages who Artes go AoE, which have been handy for the SA, but my other units are kinda so-so despite limiting myself thrust/spell, Sync aside.

Still feel like I'm at a wall, though. Given their difficulty naming is somewhat inconsistent, we'll just say the 2 hardest have consistently remained out of reach. And current Barbatos event has me capped at 20 with Yggdrasil. In current SA, I'm probably 95%+ success rate on mania level, but sometimes I just get some absolutely fucktastic tile RNG with 2-3 mana eaters on the board.

'Emergency' maintenance last night added a lot more clarity about Anniversary events.

10/1-10/20 Sara Clash Event. After the story stages, you can farm for each of the 5 types in their respective stage.
10/2-10/12 Anniversary Summon (Anniversara)
10/3-10/18 Anniversary Skit Prologue
10/4-10/18 Return of the Lippy Clash. Same thing as the Sara clash event, farm Lippy in each stage, one for every damage type.
10/7-10/18 Anniversary Skit Proper (Sara's SR Sword and Lippy's SR Startphon Armor)
10/7-10/21 Milla contest Login Bonus (5* Global Exclusive Milla, Milla summon tickets - see later, 4* hawks, hero stones)
10/9-10/23 Kana Clash Event
10/12-10/24 Mr. Anniversary Event - fight Mr. Anniversary for prizes
10/14-10/22 Multi Arena! Milla and Luke (Milla will likely be a bloodbath, might be better to cut losses and chase Luke's UR Ma if you're hurting after Sara SA like I am)

Costume Gacha - One time only 10 pull (50 stones) will guarantee one of the featured 5* costumed heroes. Included a return of all 4 Brides, previously unreleased Valentines outfits (Valentine Kannono Arte Healer), and then the school and cheer outfits with some good leads and tile changers. All in all, about a 30% chance of getting an arte healer here.

Milla Gacha - Each of the 5* Heroes are variations on Milla. Big prize is her Swimsuit re-issue, booby prize is the Fractured Milla. Each 10 pull will grant 1-5 Milla tickets (like GE summon) to guarantee a 5* Milla. Everyone who gets the login bonus will get 5 tickets, so theres at least one G5 Milla in addition to the global exclusive one. Hence why her SA will be a bloodbath.

Orchestra Gacha - I guess classy is the theme? None of these really stand out if they remain unchanged from their JP counterparts, but like Parka Asbel being changed to an Arte Healer anything is possible.

TL;DR: Save 50 stones for the G5 on the costume banner. Login to get the global 5* Milla and 5 Milla summon tickets for another G5 Milla.

Also if youre going to Comicon, the ToL booth there will be giving away a set of 4 ToL anniversary drink coasters which actually look neat.

No shit. I dropped from 150 to 450 in under an hour even with a 1.3m buffer before the last 6 hours.

Not doing top 500 again unless very specific instances. Finished 430 or so but was only 45k from cutoff.

Used maybe 1-2 small gels getting to 6.5 mil. Burned 20 just keeping pace in the last stretch. Horrible.
