If Trump could beat Contra without dying I'd vote for him.

You definitely have what it takes to beat Contra without dying. I didn't do it until I was like 20, I couldn't as a kid.

Although I should probably take another crack at Battletoads and TMNT, I haven't tried them as an adult.

Fair enough, I overstated the Contra challenge.

I haven't re-attempted but one NES title as an adult. I should try more. It did feel good beat Zelda II in my early twenties. I only rented it as a kid and never finished it, and it's far from Battletoads-tier.

No but seriously, neither candidate could beat contra, even with 30 lives. We're all doomed.

Hillary wanted to ban violent video games back in 1990 and I assume that's still her position.

My only real consolation this election is I live in a state so blue Hillary is up by more than 30 points, so voting Stein will in no way threaten Hillary winning the state. No gain, no loss, vote my conscious (kinda, not too keen on Stein but yeah).

Just hope the economy doesn't explode during Clinton as that'll destroy the dems and there goes the "most progressive agenda in DNC history".

I don't recall any of these being passed with the supermajority vote to overrule a filibuster. And Obamacare got so much cut from under it when they had the potential to ram something more meaningful through.

The ACA needed all of the 60 votes it got to pass filibuster, and with people like dickhead Joe Lieberman part of that 60, there was no potential to ram through much more than thry got. Public option, much less single payer, were not on the table for the blue dogs.

Can someone explain to me what people seek to accomplish by suing Saudi Arabia over their suspected involvement in 9/11?

I'd be lying if I said this wasn't contributing to my distaste for her as a candidate. Even if she's shifted her stance since then, it's still a good litmus test for what kind of a person someone is and what their values are.

For some reason I thought either Collins or Snowe crossed lines for the ACA; I remember there was a desperate push for them to try get at least one GOP switch to make it look more legitimate.
