Hillary took that and nailed him to the wall without mercy. Nearly choked when i heard him say that.

THE FACTS: Trump did say during the debate not paying taxes made him smart. And documents show it's true — he didn't pay taxes for at least two years in the early 1990s. But his failure to pay taxes wasn't the result of savvy tax planning. Instead, Trump avoided taxes in a simpler way: by losing money. According to documents from New Jersey gaming regulators, Trump posted losses from his creditors writing down his debts during those years that were large enough to cancel out any gains he would have had to report Tax avoidance may have played a larger role in Trump not paying taxes during better years in the late 1970s and in 1984. As for more recent years, the size of Trump's tax payment is unclear because he has refused to release his returns, citing an IRS audit. The IRS and tax experts have said the audit doesn't prevent Trump from making his returns public.

TRUMP, when Clinton accused him of calling climate change a hoax invented by the Chinese: "I did not say that."

THE FACTS: Yes he did, in the form of a 2012 tweet: "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive." He later claimed he was kidding, but he's also repeated the claim that climate change is a hoax, and one that benefits China.

People thought the telecomm lobby bought off Obama on net neutrality when he nominated Wheeler to the FCC. Wheeler came through and went hard for open internet, despite being an industry insider.

We've discussed this time and time again. Money always buys access, but depending on the politician it doesn't mean anything. I mean HRC wouldn't even get someone a visa despite a 8M donation to the Clinton foundation and more in speaking fees directly to Bill Clinton. Democrats are usually much less likely to be for sale, and HRC in particular has shown time and time again that she's not in the camp that is.

Obama's tax increase in the ACA resulted in real increases in percentage of income paid in taxes by the top 1% and 0.1%.

While a few rich people can game the system in certain years, those increases still resulted in more tax revenue from the wealthiest Americans.

Under Obama, the average federal tax rate paid by the top 1% of households has gone up more than 6 percentage points to an estimated 33.8% today, according to the Tax Policy Center.

That's largely due to the following tax hikes that were part of the Affordable Care Act and the bipartisan fiscal cliff deal at the start of 2013.
