I'm not sure what's more amazing, the fact that he now can literally whatever the fuck he wants or the fact that his followers simply don't care what he says, regardless of how dangerous it is.

Well, the slipping numbers in the polls show that a good portion of people do care. By the same token, a good percentage don't care that Hillary is a pathological liar, so both candidates are getting away with saying "whatever." One is just actually thinking about what they say before they speak.

Also, conflicting reports about the Secret Service talking to Trump. According to Reuters his campaign was not spoken to and CNN could be lying/was misinformed

I listened to MSNBC for the last hour and a half. Nothing but how bad trump is. Everything related to Hillary has been essentially 'What about her emails' followed by "Trump is bad here is trump saying bad things"

The whole republican candidate pool was weak sauce though. Trump would've won regardless. He just went full charlie sheen to dominate the news cycles and the press covered it hoping he'd implode and they'd be there to catch the ratings.
It was fucking genius, he just needed to realise that wouldn't work in the general though and let everyone focus on Hillarys negatives instead of reinforcing his own.
