I could agree that Trump won among those who were already leaning towards him and were just waiting for him to actually be able to get through a full coherent thought in these debates. I don't think he actually changed the minds of those he already lost, which is what he needed to do.

Trump put forward by far his best and most coherent positions, including several where the underlying principle he was poorly but gamely trying to express was absolutely correct (re Obama's failures on ISIS and the fiasco that was the Russia reset), and further benefited from Hillary's hopelessly slick quid pro quo Clinton Foundation duck, but any momentum he was building he utterly sabotaged with his undermining of the validity of American democracy and the descent into 'nasty woman' and impotent whispers of 'wrong'. for her part Hilldog was more forceful than she had previously been but i think her dismissive smiling and incredulous pans to the camera reinforced the smug, arrogant persona that people who despise her assume her to have. as always her grasp of the intricacies of issues was several orders of magnitude greater than her opponent's.
i imagine this debate moves the needle very little if at all, which is terrible news for Donald as it represented one of his last at bats.

generally the 3rd debate does little to move the needle, but if it did it's going in hillary's direction which is not what trump needed.
