If the polls tighten up a bit this week, I think they'll try to run with this bizarro-Trump narrative of him being the caring, strong, compassionate candidate while Hillary is the bigoted and weak candidate. If they stay about the same (or god forbid get even worse for him), I give it until midweek for the rails to fall off again.

The Trump people are latching onto a new poll that has Trump up by half a point, but it's one of the most favorable polls for Trump (LA/USC) so it could end up being an outlier. The news about the "extra" emails isn't new. There was an article a while back that the state dept. was ordered to release them, but had fired back saying they couldn't feasibly prioritize which emails to release on such short notice as they had been ordered. Most of the litigation at this point is over when, not if, the emails get released.
