Man, fuck you and everyone who thinks like you. You weasel. You scum. You're a blight and a stain. This election has made me thoroughly sick of all of your ilk, and you know why?

Because if something really and honestly damaging came out about Hillary Clinton that really conflicted with my values, I would be persuaded not to vote for her. Because I actually give a shit about my core beliefs and the ideas that I think will move the U.S. in a better direction.

Trump has come out and stated - not speculation, not reading into things, not taking words out of context, not been accused of by other people - outright stated he's got no interest in upholding the 4th, 6th, or 8th Amendment, and for someone who's only where he is because a grossly irresponsible media put him there, a pretty clear disdain for more than one aspect of the 1st. Oh, but he's going to stand up for the 2nd Amendment! Because we can't have a single fucking conversation about the Constitution in this country anymore unless it's about that one, screw the rest. So serious question for you - 8 years of Obama later, how many times has the government come into your house and taken your guns? You pathetic fucking sleaze. Donald Trump has no respect for human rights, for business, for people, he has no understanding of the economy or of global politics or the Constitution, he doesn't know anything about the military, he certainly doesn't know anything about the middle class, let alone the poor. But most importantly for the sake of this conversation, he doesn't know anything about being a Republican, or conservative values. He's a pathetic, attention-seeking craven coward of a man, and the people who follow him even more so because they look to him as an alpha. Because that's all you and the people like you are - spineless, ugly worms backing a man who has no interest in serving any of the things you've claimed to stand for in the past simply because he completed another successful con and took over the party you identify with.

The whole narrative of the Republican campaign this time around is "beat Hillary," not "elect Trump" because they know that's a losing proposition and you've fallen for it completely. You don't have any conviction, You don't have guts. You just have blind loyalty to a man who couldn't give a shit about you if he tried. What makes you so stomach-turning to me is that you've revealed that you don't actually have the backbone to stand up for what you've claimed to believe in, because if you'd see Trump doesn't care about any of it. At least Mike Pence is a true believer, he just also happens to be a spectacularly shitty human being. Trump is taking you for a ride and you're happily hitching along because he's got the (R) next to his name on the ballot.

When I'm President I'll still represent people like you and I'll do my damnedest to do it well, but if you don't agree with my platform I sure as hell don't expect you to vote for me just because of my party affiliation. I despise that thinking, and everyone who's willing to turn a blind eye to the truly heinous things Trump has not only done but has promised to keep doing and the way he's dragging the very idea of what it means to be a conservative through the sewage pit because "Hillary is a criminal" deserves every ounce of scorn they receive.
You may have missed it a few pages back, but I'm not a Trump supporter, however I am voting for him. I am a Christian first, conservative second and republican third. Trump is on a completely different planet when it comes to Christian values.

I'm not sure I believe that. I hate Hillary a lot but I can't see either of them as even a shadow of christian values. But then again i'm not religious so it's not really a sticking point for me.

Then man, why not vote for McMullin. Or write in thy Lord's name. That's Republican, they count those.

I can't remember exactly what he said, but it was something like calling "Second Corinthians" "Two Corinthians". Anyone with at least a little Bible knowledge knows how to pronounce it. Trump has no idea who Jesus is. Hillary probably does, but doesn't care.

Ryan is in probably the least enviable position of any significant figure in Washington. following the insurrection against Boehner the party pleaded with a deeply reluctant Ryan to heal their divisions and his acquiescence was immediately followed by the ascendancy of a presidential candidate who is as antithetical to Ryan's inclusive, technocratic, free market free trade and free people orientation. now not only must he avert a government shutdown during the lameduck session with a new spending bill + renew federal borrowing authority early next year or risk national default, he must do so with what will be a diminished Republican majority while fending off accusations of disloyalty to Trump that could well metastasize into another Freedom Caucus insurrection against his Speakership.

This is weird to me, I have to remind myself that not everyone has read the bible at least once.

I mean, is abortion the single issue you're voting on? Because Trump isn't really any of those 3 things.

    So you're a Trump supporter.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

But by that actual statement, you shouldn't vote for him. Because he has no idea what is said in the bible and couldn't even care to find out. Yeah sure, his platform may have some stuff that match up with conservative christians, but do not doubt, there won't be a SINGLE thing that Trump would do as president to help push a christian agenda.

The possibility of Christian judges makes it worth it. Of course its not ideal but it's better than Hillary. My primary vote went to Ben Carson.

So you are more concerned with the Clinton Foundation being a pay to play scheme, despite the “A” rating with CharityWatch.org and with 88% of its contributions going out to charity and not overhead (a higher rating than the Red Cross and United Way) yet you don't find it problematic that Trump's money comes from all foreign sources, because no US bank will loan him money anymore and he has no idea what a blind trust is for his holdings while President? And I'm going to guess that you had no problem with the conflict of interest regarding Dick Cheney running Halliburton and making BILLIONS during the war in Iraq?

You are more concerned about the possibility that Clinton engaged in pay to play, despite the fact that the email leaks revealed she didn't give someone a visa after they donated/paid the Clintons over 10 million, while Trump used his charity's funds to pay personal debts, bought paintings of himself, oh and PAID OFF AN ATTORNEY GENERAL TO DROP AN INVESTIGATION?

You are more concerned with Hillary's criminal behavior with emails than Trump's illegal discrimination in housing and fraudulent racketeering with his "university"?

Because the MILLIONS of tax dollars spent by Republicans to investigate her that have turned up nothing couldn't possibly have failed because they are merely parts of a smear campaign filled by hatred and fear?

I'm a Christian first, and I have no clue how you can say that Trump is closer to Christian values than Hillary. I mean, I don't think Hillary particularly demonstrates them well, but I can absolutely understand how someone could say so. I think it's an incredibly flawed theology that has more in common with the Prosperity Gospel than the actual Gospel, but I can at least accept that folks honestly believe it. Hillary may or may not believe; I don't know, and it's not my job to care, but she's certainly acted on that style of Gospel. Trump... like, where, in what possible context, has he demonstrated *ANY* Biblical values?

He's intentionally and purposefully abused the poor-- check out how often the Bible condemns that, at personal and national levels. Hint: it's a lot.

He's abused immigrants, and his proposals regarding immigrants are even worse. Check out how often the Bible commands you to treat immigrants in your country well in the Old Testament, and how often it's even mentioned in the New. Hint: it's a lot.

He has taken every step possible to avoid paying taxes, including abusing the system with legal challenges designed to compel the government to capitulate because the legal fees would be higher than Trump's payment would be. Give Unto Ceasar?

How about charity-- is there any kind of estimation, in any reasonable aspect, that Trump has given well to charity? I'm not big on Clinton, but she and Bill have given 10% consistently.

Faith? Trump has never been a strong proponent of faith, his own or anyone's. He's been a prominent and known hedonist for decades.

How about responsibility with the talents he's been given? If he'd put it in at NASDAQ growth, he'd be richer now than the is. He's a poor manager of resources. He's been given much, and he's done little good with it.

Yes, Trump employs people, and he doesn't pay the worker their share. Yes, Trump employs people, and he exploits them as excessively as the law allows, and even beyond where the law allows.

He's anything *BUT* a consistent husband. Say what you will for Hillary-- she could have enjoyed *MORE* popularity, arguably, by divorcing Bill, and NO ONE would condemn her for it, but she has stayed married to him. He literally did the one thing Jesus said she could ditch him for, and she preserved her marriage, and it's *REALLY* hard to claim it's been a political advantage for her, given that Bill's been more liability in her achieving the White House.

He, *PERSONALLY*, has all of these traits. If you want to compare his political ideals to Biblical ideals of national law, we can go into that further, too, and at every step (excepting *MAYBE* his tax proposals), he's so grossly out of step with Scripture, I legitimately question whether evangelicals supporting Trump have ever actually read the Old or New Testament. And don't bring up abortion-- he's adopted that stance less plausibly than his toupee, and will drop it as quickly.

Whether Trump is a Christian or not, I am not willing to say, because just like with Hillary, that's neither my job to decide, nor something I should concern myself with. But if he's going to claim to be one, he's going to have his actions judged, and his actions have been more deplorable than Hillary's for the entirety of both of their public lives. I find Hillary grossly mislead, power-hungry, and corrupt, and find her gamesmanship contemptable to a degree only Nixon had exceeded before this election season, but Trump is just as power hungry, far more corrupt, his gamesmanship is arguably even more contemptable than Nixon's, and he doesn't have the benefit of just being "mislead"-- he's actively deceptive and manipulative of the worst emotions of human nature.

I'm a Christian first, and Trump does not behave as a Christian. I'm an American second, and it's hard to fathom a candidate less concerned with America than Trump. I'm a Conservative third, and Trump is almost as far from being a Conservative as he is from being an exemplary Christian. The only thing really left is that he's a Republican. At least be honest.

I believe this falls under, "don't hate the player, hate the game". I find this to be an indictment of our disastrous tax laws more than any moral failing of an individual.
