The entire article is structured in such a way as to consistently overshadow the facts determined, that there's nothing in particular to be considered worrisome.

Corruption and lies are fine as long as your party is the one doing it, same arguments from both sides of the aisle, no matter what country you're in, it's impossible to change people minds in almost 100% of cases, which is why Politics is one of the three things you don't discuss in polite company, money politics and religion, all they do is lead to fights and headaches.

Ignore the minor bullshit on both sides, sit as close to the middle of the aisle as you comfortably can, and vote for the policies that allign closest to the issues at or near the top of your list.

Everything gets a lot simpler if you mentally remove the candidates themselves and just look at their Policies.

Trade between countries is normal. Changing policies because Russia ordered it is treason. But this is currently speculation, it may very well be shady dealings with a bank.

If independent researchers could easily make these connections and monitor from afar, you'd have to imagine that the NSA, CIA, FBI, etc would've caught wind of this and have been actively monitoring and/or investigating quietly themselves, right? You don't really buy into this muhh putin stuff, right? I don't think there's enough hands on the earth to grasp the straws that wildly speculative article with reddit posts for sources has put out.

Political climate back then was significantly different, this was during "the reset", pre-Ukraine, pre-Syria, pre-DNC/email hacking.
