Bill Clinton got taken down by a vagina, and now Hillary could be taken out by a Weiner.

Dick jokes still funny in 2016? Huh, would you look at that. Then again it's radio.
Yeah, that level of humor is pretty staple for a show that has two segments called "A Look Into the Warped Female Mind" and "A Look Into the Simple Male Mind"

Caveat: This is NOT a poll of the race. It's a poll of how popular each candidate is with their voters (and not even all their voters just likely ones based on prior election cycles).
I have only met two Trump voters in person so far.
1) 60sish man who decided to start talking politics with strangers (my wife and I) while we are all trapped in a 45 minute line for a cooking event. Who does that?
2) Even older man who skipped the last two election cycles because he felt it was morally repugnant to vote for a Mormon, black man, or ticket with a female VP. Who does that?

A lot of Republicans will rationalize a Trump vote by minimizing all the bad things he's said/done or justifying it with an irrational hatred of Hillary. Those same people will either justify all the awful things that come along with a Trump presidency or cheer all the obstructionism that would come against a Hillary presidency. It's a serious problem for this country after the election, no matter who wins.
Personally I kinda wish society was a bit more open about having casual discussions about politics without people getting butthurt, but I know that'll never happen.
Wont happen until post-election that is for sure
This might be hard to believe but this thread and one other forum(not naming) political section I visit is the only places with politics being discussed to such a long extent without any kind of in-fighting. I go to other forums where politics and religion were banned because in the past people would get bent out of shape and post death threats and all.
For you guys is all shits and giggles with some dry humor on the side(referring to the series of posts bagging on Weiner, that was hilarious).
My experience is the exact opposite - I've met very few vocal Clinton supporters where I'm at. In fact, she's openly mocked here on a daily basis (which got way worse after Comey sent that letter followed by Donna Brazille being outed), but at the same time Trump isn't exactly someone that a lot of people are clamoring to vote for.
This election cycle is shit, but I can't say I haven't been thoroughly entertained with the weekly scandals that have been happening to both candidates.
Well the attention span of everyone on anything this year appears to be one week or one scandal whichever comes first. After that people seem to not care about the last one anymore.
If Clinton wins I wonder what my odds are of being able to climb to the top of the Republican ticket in the next 4 years, because I think it's a pretty safe bet that unless they run Trump again she won't be re-elected.
Depends. If things keep progressing in a positive light, she keeps any scandals to a minimum, switches to carrier pigeon from e-mail, and republicans try to push another tea party person like Cruz, she could probably win a re-election. If she wins, how the republican ticket acts over the next two years will pretty much dictate if she gets another 4 years, assuming she doesn't die first.
Well also with the exception of a few people, most on here are fairly rational. And then we got Heady posting the best of /r/thedonald and twitter for us to laugh at.
I'm fine with casual discussions about politics, but this guy opened with a Fox News quality spiel about how he's going to vote for Trump (while his wife literally put her head in her hands) because he's a small business owner from New Jersey and doesn't want to pay health care costs for his employees. He then quickly polled us (a group of 20-somethings in NYC) about who we'd be voting for. We dodged the question because we were trapped with this guy in line for the next 45 minutes and he commented that "no one he talks to here seems to know who they're voting for!" meaning we were definitely not his first victims. He then asked us about Italian restaurants in the city and punted until we jokingly suggested Buca di Beppo (Why ask us and then shoot down a dozen restaurants if you just want to go somewhere you've already been?) It showed a remarkable ignorance of demographics and general unpleasantness.
How am I supposed to respond in a situation like that? Why would I respond and start an honest dialogue with this man about politics? He's eaten every line of bullshit put out there. Me sitting there tearing apart his "facts" for 45 minutes is just going to reinforce his idea that there's some kind of liberal indoctrination conspiracy working through the media.
Personally I love discussing politics. But my friends - not so much. I usually end up discussing it with my father who's a politician. But he's a politician for a different party than the one I usually vote for, so we can never agree on anything. Also, it always bores the rest of the family to death.
