Yeah well, I don't consider the path that Trump has taken to reach people to be a valid one. It may be effective to shovel platitudes, non-stop insults targeted at every demographic, and 40 years of partisan witchhunt bullshit through the corporate media at the populace, but as we can see now and in the history books it's far too dangerous.

And the worst part, as a friend pointed out earlier today, is that the GOP will only continue to embrace all of it. They won't win this year because Trump has way too much baggage and hypocrisy. But if they find someone without that baggage who plays by the same book, it'll be really hard to stop them.

I said a few weeks ago Trump had bottomed out and I was right. His poll numbers go up every day. I think in five days, adding in the expected low turnout and Republican voter suppression, Trump will win. Maybe if the election had happened two or even one week ago, but not five days from now.

There are no indications that turnout will be low. If it is, that will be a huge story.

Republican voter suppression definitely is an issue. Question is how big an impact it has and whether or not courts do something about it in time to matter.
