I hear burning to death is one of the more awful ways to go.
because it has nothing to do with logic. i've been reading some research done by Howard Margolis, a doctor'd political scientist who delved into cognitive neuroscience trying to explain why political beliefs are so often disassociated from objective fact. his discovery, which has been corroborated with dozens if not hundreds of supportive studies at this point, is that the genesis for political beliefs is equivalent to the automatic and instantaneous pattern matching cognition that accompanies visual processing and rudimentary logic problem solving that any sufficiently advanced animal would be able to undertake, and is very usually not the result of the advanced reasoning of which only homo sapiens sapiens are capable.
and so he came to the conclusion that for most people most often political opinions are the result of intuitive information processing akin to discerning, say, animal patterns in dense foilage when hunting, than they are the result of logical processes. the latter exists primarily to justify an intuitive response system that has nothing whatever to do with reasoning. that is to say human judgement, political moral religious or what have you, is predominantly the result of subconscious cognitive processes and the rationales we provide them are only postfacto justifications.
Heard on CNN briefly that Trump has 81% of Republican support.
Part of me presumes that torching your place while you're in it is also an attempt at trying to hide the act of suicide itself. Pretty much bumped into my share of people over the years who assert its cowardly, which wouldn't surprise me that someone choosing the option at least doesn't want to be seen that way. Of course, how one chooses to go prior to the fire and how the fire itself burns can make it pretty obvious.
Other part is just scorched earth policy at play. Going down? Take everything with 'em. :/
Nonetheless sucks if (young) family gets drawn into it, particularly if religion is a motivator behind the act with whatever form of afterlife they may prescribe.
This just in, murder suicides to the backdrop of arson is worse if religion is a factor.
Honest question, where do you guys go for news and why? Any that you think are more bi/non-partisan than others?
Facebook just showed me a post I made eight years ago after Barack's first election. My God. I'm afraid that if I was younger, I might have been a Bernie bro this cycle.
Would the current you bot for Hillary?
To my younger self's credit, he was a Biden supporter through the primary and went over to Hillary for CA's primary though it was pretty much a done deal by then.
The current me is already rolling around in Shillary cash obtained by stealing patriots' guns and selling them to the UN so that the good people of the nation have no defense when Hillary comes for their first born in a spirit cooking sweep after the inauguration.
I'm proud of you.
Strange hate? CNN didn't earn the nickname Clinton News Network by random chance.
