Considering that if he even stepped foot in Mexico...the amount of hits probably put out on him...yeah, I wouldn't go.

I'm guessing one of two things will happen:

1) No real major incident, everything happens in private, but Trump can claim whatever he wants ("the president of Mexico agreed to pay for the wall")

2) Huge negative scene, Trump uses this as an excuse for why the wall needs to get built when he does his immigration speech later today.

I mean I guess if they're running with this propaganda narrative of Leader Trump is winning at everything, this makes sense. I don't think this is really designed to win over swing voters so much as to play to the Trump people to say, "Look at him being so presidential, he's already meeting with other heads of state." It's like the Louisiana trip -- mostly a photo op and designed to grab attention.

I don't know if the supplies were from him or his foundation (which is not his own money). He did write a $100k check to Tony Perkins' church (which is basically more than has been verified that he's given to charity over the past 10 years), so there's that. He could have done that without flying down and spending 2 minutes standing behind a truck unloading play-doh though.
