Theres certainly problems with the system, legitimate ones but the problem is when people decide on feelings instead of their head it ALWAYS ends badly and I only expect this k8nd of crap to break the US even more.

That being said the democrats have a chance to regroup and come up with someone who can relate to people better. If trumps history is anything to go by by the time hes up for reelection he might have screwed up so bad hell be the one destroyed. Thats unless he doesnt either get impeached first or assasinated as the kind of crap he put out is the kind of bull that brings out the worst in people and when feelings overtake reason stupid people will do stupid things. As the old saying goes karma is a bitch and unless he changes tact after getting in things will end badly down the road.

Can someone tell me how well Colorado care ballot initiative did? In a state that Hillary won. There's your answer to how well Bernie would have fared. I'm sure that old white man with an unpopular Heath care system would have done great with this electorate.

One thing that was brought up about Obamacare. I don't think you can just defund it because if you did all that would happen is families currently receiving subsidies wouldn't get them and so cost would skyrocket for families living below 4x the poverty line.

Nate's professional life is based on his election forecasting accuracy, so this season he biased his model towards ambivalence so he was safe with either outcome. It was the smart thing to do.

That said, his model was much less assured of Hillary's victory than some of the ones out there (hi2u Princeton). If anything, Nate comes out of this looking good (although he might just be a pussy).

Btw, we elected Trump so we can call people pussies again, right?

You're missing a distinction here. They can't morally defund Obamacare. They're perfectly capable of defunding it while throwing up their hands and going "the system always provides somehow!"

We can ifs/buts about Bernie, but what you can't dispute is that the HRC campaign started the bernie bro shit, to try and cast bernie voters as sexist morons.
Insulting people you want to vote for you in the general and people who you want to be enthusiastic and volunteer for you was a stupid idea.

They even tried it in the general, giving Obama that stupid "hey guys, we can handle a woman pres" although that was a lot less offensive.

Really it reflects on the SJW crowd as well - their tactic with anyone who remotely disagrees with them is to call them racist/sexist/stupid, and expect to convince them of it and accept it.

    The actual reaction? FUCK YOU!

Are you trying to imply policy mattered for this election?

Fuck you would've been if they went out and vote Johnson or Stein. But that wasn't the issue. I'd point out towards voter enthusiasm in a way. The LA Times poll measured likely voters by their enthusiasm. Those voting for trump were always more enthusiastic and thus weighed more towards Trump. This seemed to prove somewhat right when unlikely white voters came out of the rural woodwork and essentially took over.

Though this is just assumption. I'm sure the DNC will have an interesting post election report. I'm just going to sit here and be amused by the fact that the republicans threw out the 2012 report, after wiping their ass with it, and decided to go against it as much as humanly possible.

    And then win.

That letter Trump was showing off from Belichick was actually real, he just talked about it at a press conference.

You're conflating funding for Obamacare with Obamacare. First, funding for Obamacare is easiest to strip because it just requires a new budget and a fast track'd new budget is 51 senate votes (can't be blocked). When that happens, no more subsidies.

Second, Obamacare (ACA) was a law that can be repealed. After that, we go "back" to a weird mix of the old status quo with higher premiums. In theory, this could be filibustered / delayed by democrats. However, if Obamacare isn't funded then it's of limited value and so many Republicans ran on repealing Obamacare that this is absolutely going to happen. Hopefully Democrats will get a concession somewhere for it, but that's the reality of the situation.

    I can summarize the report:

    "Fuck you James Comey."
    "Fuck you Bernie Bros"
    "Fuck you sexist pigs"

So higher premiums and pre-existing conditions won't be covered.

Man this presidency is going to be the best. Had anyone prepared a website to track what horrible things Trump will do?

That's what I was saying though. I meant I don't think you can just defund it and have it die off quietly on its own because it would raise costs due to lack of subsidies. I'm well aware that it's a law that can be repealed.

Oh yeah, it's not going to go quietly. It could very well go quite messily.

I thought you were implying that because it's going to be so messy they might not get rid of it.

You know, I'm one of the few here that was fine with watching CNN during this whole thing, don't think I'm going to be able to for a while now though. I'm sure that so many of their anchors will talk about it like it's so exciting because it's just so unexpected.
