People need to remember that aside from Trump having no interest in actually doing the job himself, the Republican establishment will not allow him to go off the rails.

The stuff I'm reading/discussing with folks is mostly talking about the banks, how they've been operating dishonestly and just making things even worse than before. It seems like it's getting to the point where things could crash pretty badly if things go out of control. Again, I'm no expert, but I'm definately curious as to how things will unfold.

Things that I've been reading/looking at show that there's a good chance that a major economic issue is going to hit north america and that would happen regardless of who was elected the next president.

I was referring more specifically to the economy and tax policy, the establishment aren't about to let Agent Orange fuck with their money.

I would agree that social issues are in a very precarious position in terms of major regression.

people are predicting a giant crash because we haven't 'fully' deleveraged during the 2001, or 2008 recessions. Hallmarks are giant asset prices and governments/businesses with large amounts of debt

oh, and supposedly in yellen's own words there's a good chance for a raise in interest rates this december (so right after the election, lul) which will be super painful. Even +1.00% would hurt the US bond market badly

I don't think it has to do with a female candidate, the more important lesson is to simply stop playing identity politics and telling people who they should vote for simply because they are XYZ demographic.

Communicate why they should vote for you as people, not try and guilt them into voting for a woman simply because there hasn't been a female president before.
