Turnout works against the Republicans, pure and simple.
It's how they won in 2000 and it's how they won yesterday, both times in which they still lost the popular vote.
It's why the day the VRA fell there were dozens of voter ID laws being proposed.
They are a minority and they know it, and just like gerrymandering this is how they survive.
Seattle Turnout is huge!

Seems to be a protest in nearly every city.
I don't think you can really say she didn't campaign. You can say she campaigned in the wrong places, but where she was campaigning was based on polls, both internal and external and they were all wrong. Not just the Democrats, the Republicans too.

Crazy dude, every city in America has some protest going.
tfw you elect the most liberal repub in modern history and the people protest
HAHAHAHA
Rallying cry
"Pussy fights back!"
God this is fucking sad.
In 5 minutes I've heard the following chanted
>Fuck Donald Trump
>Hands up Don't Shoot
>Democracy Now
>Fuck Rudy Guiliani
>Fuck Chris Christie
>New York Hates you
>Not my President
>Black Lives Matter
With sprinklings of Bernie and other shit thrown in. These fools literally runnin down a check list of what triggers them right now.
I'm gettin a lil misty eyed at all the nostalgia from the Buck Fush days.
i truly wonder how many of the protesters actually went out to vote
like i really want to know
media has whipped these people into a frenzy. glad we had such good election coverage this past year and half, really diving into the policies of both candidates and promoting rational discourse

Trump tower New York
I'm hoping the trumps get kicked out of NY. I would imagine the trump name is basically ruined after this and would of been regardless of the outcome

States that passed voting restrictions saw decreased turnout, flipped to Trump
Yes it was way harder. It's so easy for people to only follow what they align with now, unfollow friends on facebook, mute on twitter etc... Also the media was very much bought out more so than previous years. Correct the Record was dominating twitter/reddit etc, obscuring reality in a way we've really only seen Fox do so blantaly in the past. CNN is what people once thought was a neutral network proved to be anything but. All these previously fairly neutral publishers like WaPo etc all seemed to kick into some high gear slant. Even shit like Politico seemed to have quite a bit of bias.
18 months of hearing the opposition is either a treasonous satanist criminal or a racist, sexist, second coming of hitler over and over and over with only people reassuring your views and I think this is what you get. My eyes were opened a lot by treading carefully into the other side and watching Fox a bit, giving Trump rallies a chance, watching the meme magic in The_Donald... but still not like you could have much of a conversation with either side once the general kicked in. People are so hostile because of all of this. Even here trying to be critical of Hillary I was told I was too stupid to understand politics. Really sucks the wind out of the discussion.
We need to separate news/facts from opinion, these 24 hour news channels are just terrible for this kind of thing.
