Pretty sure the Senate has no role in that. The electoral votes are counted in the House, and should there be a tie it's the House that votes to choose, not the Senate.

And the elector flipping thing is a pipe dream. Those votes are set in stone once each state's SoS ceritifies the election and seals the envelope with the electoral vote tallies.

Now whether it's increased them/made them more open for one group, the other, or both is something that is going to be pretty hard to figure out between false flags and increased awareness.
