I am currently in disbelief...

At about 2:55, I was stopped at a light before turning onto Franklin Pkwy toward the Castaic post office. The vehicle next to me illegally turned from the center lane and sped up next to me and the person on the passenger side shouted: "FUCK YOU KIKE" then something else that I couldn't understand, because the driver sped up, then cut me off and break checked me. I managed to slam on my breaks and not hit them.

They then made a rapid u-turn and sped off in the other direction while I sat in my car in the middle of the road catching my breath.

The passenger was a dirty blonde man whose age I couldn't tell, had a full goatee, I didn't see the driver. They were driving a red Ford(?) pickup truck that looked pretty old. I am pretty sure the license plate had a 7 and W in it, but I'm not entirely positive. I am pretty sure I did not imagine "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" bumper sticker.

I am fine, just shaken up and my hand is trembling. No damage on my car either.

No video though so who knows if he's lying rite?

Yes, he's going to sit there and wonder why after 18+ months of calling the guy a racist bigot etc are in fear, all still in the same breath doing everything he can to whip up fervor. He wonders why people think hes just going to deport everyone, he wonders why certain things "got thru" to them. It's fucking absurd. The guys wife is a legal immigrant ffs. He's not wondering why people are in fear, he knows good and well why. It's not his fault Trump talked about a "deportation force" and preventing all Muslims from entering the country. He said that's what got through, he didn't say he didn't know why and he's right, that is what got through. I have a lot of friends who are legal immigrants and/or Muslim and they're in fear of being deported. I don't think they will be, but to his point, that's what got through. It's not absurd to understand why people are angry/scared.

Replace brown folks with guns and it's pretty much business as usual. Except, you know, Trump actually advocating for going after the families of suspected terrorists and getting into public scuffles with gold star families and federal judges over their religion and race respectively.

I get that you're frustrated at the quality of some of the discourse here, but don't pretend darkies have no reason to be concerned by the things Trump's said. It's not all overblown media hype.

Because the people who are foaming at the mouth following him don't care about the difference. Also because he chose a really terrible person as his running mate who has a history of going after the down trodden in the name of "religious freedom".

Edit: The problem is that Trump isn't coming quickly and correcting his voter base and clarifying these things. He is letting his ambiguity go where it will. He is not decrying his supporters who are alienating huge chunks of the population. If he wants to be a president for all the people like he says then he needs to put out a message to get things under control. He has to tell his voters what he really meant. Or own up to the fact that he was fueling their racist feelings to get their vote.

to be fair, even if that's how his comments are meant to be understood, does not imply that many of his followers and voters understood it that way.

The Muslim ban is not a thing anymore. I won't source that because lazy, but I did just read it somewhere. Either CNN or BBC. He gave up that position a while ago.


As a gay man, I'm a little wary, but countrywide support for gay marriage is over 50% by now (I think?) so not too worried. And honestly, I support some parts of the FADA-type laws. If you're a Christian baker you should not be forced to bake a cake for my gay wedding (but then again, I should not be forced to serve you if you start throwing Bible verses at me, which is why a lot of the nutter anti-gay groups are actually backing off such laws now).

It's because some don't see a distinction. It's the same thing as Clinton saying she didn't want criminals to get guns and tons of people crying about how she's going to take their guns. I'm not sure any of them watch CNN. The thing with CNN is that they invite people from both camps to come on and spin things which I don't think really helps anyone because of the obvious bias involved. That being said Van Jones isn't trying to rile up viewers he said that he's trying to help bring people together but he's also trying to say that the anger and fear that people are feeling should not be ignored and only makes the problem worse if you try to or to try and tell them that they're wrong in feeling that way. Yes, he's clearly angry in that video and I don't blame him, especially when the 2 Trump supporters keep on talking over him as they've been doing for months now.

I already mentioned this but many are still of the mindset that this election couldn't be won or that the Republicans suddenly tapped into their secret Gohan-power reserves.

This election was lost because Democratic turnout dropped far, far more than Republican turnout.
