I hope you are right, but I am not as hopeful as you are right now, and again, I have the luxury of not being in a group that will be most affected by these policies.

Here's some articles about Obamacare with Trump
- CNN Money - Obamacare under President Trump: What happens next?
- Forbes - Under President Trump, Repealing & Replacing Obamacare Will Be Harder Than It Looks
- PBS - Under President-elect Trump, these policies could replace Obamacare
A lot is what has already been said in here. Republicans need 60 votes to fully repeal it which they won't likely get, there's a way to repeal a filibuster but Mitch McConnell has said that's not something he wants to do. They can take away the subsidies and defund certain things with Medicare when the budget comes up, but that would put healthcare out of reach for a lot of families that need it and you'd see ads all over the place about people with serious illnesses and no coverage anymore.
I find it a little funny/alarming that Mike Pence said pre-existing conditions would not come back for people so long as they kept paying their premiums. But as Maroot said just a few pages ago... that's what pre-existing conditions were.
There's very little that's been discussed in the way of actually replacing it with something which makes me think no replacement would come up before midterms. Remember, the bones of the ACA were already being discussed (with some Republicans no less) before Obama was even the nominee in 2007. And the bill didn't get through Congress until March of 2010.
I wonder if Mike Pence will allow medicaid to cover electrocuting the gays straight?
Idk, assuming Obamacare gets tanked does gay count as a pre existing condition?
It's actually a decent question, given how many gay men are taking PrEP now. That shit isn't cheap, and while there isn't a "condition" that requires it, I'm sure insurance companies would love to know which potential customers are going to immediately ask their doctors for a prescription.

Sorry if I'm late but this is such a retarded train of thought. It's akin to illegal searches "well they shouldn't be afraid if they have nothing to hide." Never mind the fact Trump has openly discussed changes he would prefer for the 14th amendment. Of course legal immigrants are going to have legitimate reasons to fear his policies.
Good segment from NBA on TNT (yes really) tonight

California county elections officials estimate 4.36 million outstanding ballots to process and count.
Haha, guess this isn't too surprising but Obamacare signups surged today. 100k signed up on the healthcare.gov website alone, more than the 95k when you could first enroll this year. Wonder if Trump's presidency could ironically save Obamacare.
this and what aerin posted in response pretty much have it down better than how i could respond. i mean isn't it pretty obvious? whatever distinctions trump might personally believe in aren't the distinctions that so much of his base believes in. furthermore, simply going down the route trump's gone down is enough to open the door to to a host of things that will infringe on civil liberties. does that person speak english like an american? is that person's color white? all of a sudden these questions become tests, and a frame of mind asked by anyone who doesn't have the capacity to understand that human beings can look different than they do.
there are ramifications to everything a presidential nominee, let alone a president, says and does. and just because you're safe from something legally doesn't mean you're exempt from the consequences that surround it.
Wheres that pic of the # of red votes holding steady over the past 3 elections and the blue votes dropping significantly in that time frame?
Trump won by making people think they wouldnt have to vote for Hilary cause no one would consider voting for him.
Its a bold strategy Cotton.
