Racism exists everywhere. I asked my friend who's a black girl from Africa what does she thinks about it in America and she said "You know what in America you can at least do something about it, if someone is racist to you you can tell someone and that person will face some sort of repercussions. I lived in places like including Europe where people can tell you fuck off because you're different race and you can't do anything about it"
But hey she's in med school, her husband just finished med school, her mother is a top nurse at the hospital, and her sister finished pharmacy school and on top of that they dislike this race bitching. So she maybe white with really really dark skin
Oh there is I won't argue that but the improvements come from people and the culture we live in. Every minority that rose against diversity in this country did it through hard work and education. I mean look at jews, asians, polocks, irish, and anyone else. My grandfather died as a coal miner in Pennsylvania back in the days. Now my relatives have at least one doctor in the family. Kicking, screaming, and vandalizing things never solved anything. People will say they feel bad for you and do nothing for you. All you do is spend time you can use to improve your situation on bullshit. Only person that can change your own life is you. Americans trust too much in their government that is obviously at this point only interested in their own agenda. Government will never be able to step in and say "Hey quit being racist." People need to own up to their own shit and quit waiting for some invisible hand to save them.
it's almost like there are unique factors preventing the successful assimilation of people descended from African slaves vis-à-vis Polish, Irish, Jewish, and Asian immigrant groups
Brief departure from my self-imposed depressive rage exile to respond to this.
The 19th Amendment.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The Americans with Disabilities Act.
"I don’t believe you change hearts. I believe you change laws, you change allocation of resources, you change the way systems operate."
I told these fools u'd be back and or not dead.
You have been missed sir.
on scale of 1 to murder how mad are you at berniebros
I mean I said repeatedly that these fucks needed to learn to shut up and vote the party line, because as much as the unexpected angry white vote helped fuel Trump to victory he couldn't have made it without all those Republicans who held their nose and voted for him anyway just cause he had the (R) after his name.
About what? That getting moderate voters is important? Pretty sure that's still true. If anything the problem is that the Democrats took a lot of moderate votes for granted -- unless you're about to tell me that whites in MI/WI/PA that went to Trump were progressives that would have gone for Bernie.
I guess my view on politics is an offshoot of my world view, cuz Tanaka was the fucking shit (not shit, THE shit)
I already took the "Bernie was right" victory lap, but I guess it bears reposting:
Labor left the democrats en masse. Trump's biggest attack was always the ability to hang NAFTA over Hilllary's head, which she wasn't even involved with. And yet, her campaign slogan was "America Is Already Great."
Guess we'll see if the democrats learn.
